With the purchase of Borgo della Spiga, the friendly owners (a couple from Milan) have swapped their hectic city lifestyle for fresh adventure in the heart of the Le Marche countryside.

With 1 luxurious and spacious bedroom and a sofa bed, both holiday apartments are suitable for 2-4 adults and children as long as they are 12 years old and up. The living room with open plan kitchen opens onto a private terrace with seating. The interior is a tasteful blend of practical furniture and distinctive pieces collected from local markets. Luxurious extras, including air conditioning and fine bed linen, guarantee a thoroughly comfortable stay. From the mezzanine bedroom window, guests can admire breathtaking sunrises over the Le Marche countryside, or stunning views of the charming village of Filottrano (which is beautifully illuminated at night) to the distance.

The award-winning swimming pool enjoys a spectacular location that blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape; with rolling hills in various shades of green and vibrant yellow sunflower fields, it’s as pretty as a picture! With the purchase of Borgo della Spiga, the friendly owners (a couple from Milan) have swapped their hectic city lifestyle for fresh adventure in the heart of the Le Marche countryside.

The two apartments are identical and arranged as follows:

Layout (42 m2)

  • Living room/kitchen measuring 26 m2
  • Open plan kitchen with electric hob, refrigerator, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine
  • Living room with sofa, flat screen satellite TV and doors opening onto the private terrace
  • Bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet
  • Private terrace with seating for 4
  • BBQ (upon request)

Bistro:

The bistro is a unique space that features a sleek, light grey floor, a 50s refrigerator (inherited from Deborah’s grandmother), ancient wooden doors and a professional kitchen. A tranquil indoor spot with a pretty terrace for al fresco dining, the bistro is open daily for breakfast or a light lunch upon request. Guests can also reserve a table for dinner three nights a week (Saturday, Wednesday and Friday); a gourmet four-course, seasonal menu.

Swimming pool:

The swimming pool is a genuine eye-catcher:

  • 13x6 metres in size
  • Furnished with sunbeds and parasols (these may not always be in use, due to the frequent breeze)
  • Additionally benefits from a funky lounge area designed by Ron Arad
  • Won the coveted Fincibec Group ‘Quinquennial Tile Award’. Environmentally friendly

The owners consider the environment extremely important and have implemented a number of eco-friendly measures, including solar panels (on the car park roof), tanks that collect rainwater for irrigation and LED lighting.
