In the small hilltop village of Griante, on Lake Como in northern Italy, is set in a panoramic position Borgo San Rocco. Borgo San Rocco consists of two luxury apartments, which have been named after two ancient tree species - Olea and Gingko - and are very comfortably equipped for a relaxing stay with all modern comforts.
Olea is located on the ground floor and mixes old accents with a modern, sleek touch. Floor-to-ceiling French doors in the stone-walled open-plan living room give direct access to the private garden, while the kitchen and dining room are housed in the bright sunroom. With two bedrooms (the master bedroom with a beautiful vaulted ceiling) and bathrooms, Olea can accommodate four people. Ginkgo is a perfect space for two people, with an attractive open living room/kitchen finished in calm earth tones, eye-catching photos on the wall, and luxurious details. Furthermore, the apartment has a bedroom with an in-room walk-in shower and a beautiful private terrace.
The apartments share a lush garden with a fantastic infinity pool and the best views. In addition, in the middle of the greenery, you will find a pergola with dining tables and barbecue to enjoy al-fresco dinners.
Borgo San Rocco is located in the pedestrian zone of the hamlet of San Rocco (Griante), with a rich historical past and a short walk (15 minutes) from Cadenabbia, on Lake Como. Take a walk through the village to experience a real local ambiance, and there are also small beaches nearby for swimming and water sports. When booking, a deposit of 30% of the reservation amount is required. The remainder must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of your stay. When booking within the period of 6 weeks, the total reservation sum is to be paid immediately. In case of a cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of your stay, 50% of the deposit will be returned. In case of cancellation within the period of 6 weeks no refund will be made. We therefore recommend a cancellation insurance.
The owners ask for a security deposit of 500 euros for apartment Olea and 300 euros for apartment Gingko. You must pay this amount to Nice2stay in advance. You will receive a payment request 1 week before arrival. If you leave the accommodation tidy and no damage has been found, you will receive the deposit back within 14 days.
Tourist tax in the amount of 2 euros per person (over 10 years old) per night is to be paid in cash.

Borgo San Rocco is located in the hamlet of San Rocco, Griante, just a 15-minute walk from Lake Como. The enchanting landscape and villa gardens of the lake inspired many romantic poets and artists of the 19th century and are a sight to behold. The favorable location of the apartments makes it possible to make many trips to the charming places on the water. Below are some tips:
Just 4 km north of the property is the village of Menaggio, with a lovely lido and a small beach.
South of Borgo San Rocco is the town of Lenno (6 km). Lenno has a small public beach and is a short distance from Villa del Balbianello, which is situated on the tip of a headland and offers a beautiful view of the western shore of Lake Como. Thanks to its stunning position, the villa has been used as a setting for several films, including Casino Royale and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
The main reason to visit the village of Tremezzo (3 km) is to admire Villa Carlotta. Villa Carlotta is a place of rare beauty, whose artwork inside is as magnificent as the extensive and immaculately maintained gardens.
Varenna and Bellagio, located on the other side of the lake, cannot be missed! You can reach these charming villages by a ferry boat that departs from Cadenabbio Griante, just 2 km from Borgo San Rocco. Bellagio - also called "la perla del lago" (the pearl of the lake) by the locals - has beautiful sights such as Villa Serbelloni Park. While walking through the cobbled streets with elegant buildings, you will experience the chic atmosphere of this beautiful town.
The city of Como (33 km) can be reached with a pleasant car ride of less than an hour. The impressive 15th-century cathedral dominates the historic centre. The adjacent pedestrianized Piazza del Duomo is home to cafes and restaurants and is an excellent place for lunch. Just a few minutes walk from the square, Como's waterfront is lined with parks where you can relax in the shade while watching boats go up and down the lake. For even more breathtaking views, take the cable car up to the quiet village of Brunate with many hiking trails.
Finally, the lakes around Como are also worth visiting, Lake Maggiore reaches up north the town of Locarno, famous for its Jazz festival. You can also easily reach Lago di Lugano; the beautiful city of Lugano (in Switzerland) is only 30 km away.
The nearest airport is Milano Malpensa at 82 km, and the airport of Bergamo - Orio al Serio, is 123 km about a 1h30 drive.

Borgo San Rocco has two apartments: Apartment Olea (for 4 people) on the ground floor and Apartment Gingko (for 2 people) on the first floor. Both apartments have their private outdoor terrace, but there is also a beautiful shared garden (3,000m2) where you can relax with a great view of the lake.
Here you will find the shared infinity pool (10x4m; 1.40 deep) with a sun terrace, outdoor shower, and lounge area. The swimming pool is open from May 15 to September 30. On a lower level in the garden is a vegetable garden and a pergola with two large dining tables and a barbecue.
Both apartments are very comfortably equipped with high-quality furnishing. They have an attractive open living room with a dining table and modern kitchen, 1-2 bedrooms, and spacious bathrooms with a walk-in shower.
