Casa Alegra is an inviting townhouse located in the center of the fishing village of Carvalhal on the Portuguese Alentejo coast. The house is compact (60m2) but offers all comfort and an airy feel thanks to the high ceilings. In addition to an attractive living/dining room with a lounge corner and sleek open kitchen, there are two bedrooms - one with a trundle bed - and a beautiful bathroom. This makes Casa Alegra a perfect place for a family with two children. 

You can fully enjoy the pleasant Portuguese climate outside! There is a complete outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and picnic table covered with beautiful woodwork that provides shade. A small private swimming pool invites you for a refreshing dip and you can relax on the two sunbeds in the warm hours of the day. The sheltered patio in front of the house has a dining table for a sunny breakfast and there are two outdoor showers to rinse off the sand after a day at the beach.

Casa Alegra is located just 3 km from the most beautiful beaches of the Alentejo (Praia do Carvalhal and Praia do Pego), which you can reach by car, bicycle, or even on foot, as well as the restaurants and shops of Carvalhal. A little further away are more gorgeous sandy beaches. As well, you can (learn to) surf, spot dolphins, and even a side trip to Lisbon is doable in a day.
