Casa Apollonia is idyllically situated in peaceful countryside, right in the heart of Le Marche. This stunning property belongs to Belgian owners, who’ve lovingly renovated their Italian holiday home and thoroughly equipped it to their own high standards.

The house has been fully renovated using high quality materials, including beautiful poured concrete floors, warm terracotta tiles, original wooden beams and exposed brickwork. Thanks to their large windows, the open plan living spaces on the ground floor benefit from plenty of natural light and the home has a fresh and airy feel. The atmospheric property also boasts a number of modern features; a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning in the bedrooms, Sonos music system, underfloor heating, Nespresso coffee machine, Smeg fridge, Kitchenaid appliances, and comfortable beds.
The owners are passionate about food, as evidenced by the selection of recipe books, pasta machine and plate warmer. Casa Apollonia is a genuine foodie’s paradise.

The garden is a real eye-catcher; a beautiful oasis with a well-kept lawn, a number of landscaped terraces, and utterly awash with flowers and plants, including boxwood, hydrangeas, and rosemary. The main terrace benefits from a romantic pergola with pretty wisteria providing shade for an al fresco dining area. Furnished with a custom-made dining table of Corten steel crafted by local artisans, it’s the perfect spot for up to 10 people to enjoy a relaxing meal overlooking rolling green hills.

Another unique feature is the orangery with a comfortable lounge area located next to the swimming pool. A unique addition is the covered poolside orangery with a comfortable lounge, dining table, wood-fired pizza oven, and Weber charcoal barbecue. And, the superb 12 x 3.5-meter natural stone swimming pool is simply ideal for a few laps before breakfast!

Eyecatcher: beautiful garden with far-reaching views

Casa Apollonia is idyllically situated in peaceful countryside, in the heart of Le Marche. To the front of the property is a small lane that leads to a number of charming villages just minutes away - a tranquil, yet certainly not isolated location. The landscaped gardens to the rear boast fantastic views and there’s plenty of space for rest and relaxation.

Layout of holiday home (300m2):

Casa Apollonia comprises two parts; a main building and an annex. The main building consists of two floors - an upper floor, where the bedrooms are located, and a lower floor with comfortable living room. The open plan living spaces and large windows to the ground floor bathe the interior in natural light, lending it a wonderfully fresh and airy feel. Both floors benefit from underfloor heating.

Ground floor:

  • Large sink (formerly a drinking trough for animals), plenty of storage space, pasta table, Nespresso coffee maker, KitchenAid kettle and toaster.
  • Utility room: spacious sink, open shelves well stocked with tableware, Nespresso machine, Kitchenaid: drip coffee maker, kettle, and toaster, electric juicer, microwave oven, wine cooler. Pasta maker and wooden kneading board designed for pasta dough.
  • Kitchen: sleek kitchen island (Zampieri) with a 4-meter long countertop, induction cooktop (Atag), convection oven with grill function, dishwasher (Miele), built-in plate warmer, spacious Smeg refrigerator/freezer, comprehensive inventory for 10 to 12 people (Itala porcelain, Mono cutlery), plastic tableware for young children.
  • Dining room: large dining table with 10 chairs and placemats.
  • Sitting area: comfortable corner sofa (Cassina), chaise longue (Le Corbusier), ambient lighting, flat-screen TV with satellite connection. DVD player with an extensive selection of DVDs. A beautiful collection of Dutch-language books and information about Le Marche.
  • Toilet next to the hall.
  • Library: this very bright space not only offers an additional sitting area with two sofa beds (140cm x 180cm) but also provides sleeping space for two young adults or four children. A sliding door offers the necessary privacy, and with the available air conditioning and wardrobes, it's a comfortable place to sleep. The access to two terraces and its east-facing location make it a delightful spot for a morning breakfast in the sunshine.
  • Sonos music system: enjoy music both inside and outside the holiday home, via built-in and portable speakers.

Upper floor:

  • Master bedroom: double four-poster bed (160cm x 200cm), bathtub, en-suite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, toilet and bidet, large washbasin, ample storage space for toiletries.
  • Two bedrooms, each with a double bed (box springs). In both bedrooms, there is an option to arrange the beds as two single beds upon request.
  • Separate bathroom with large walk-in shower, large washbasin, ample storage space for toiletries.
  • All bedrooms in the main building are equipped with air conditioning and have their own dressing room.

Annex with orangery:

  • Bedroom with double canopy bed and wardrobe.
  • Bathroom with a shower, washbasin with storage, and toilet.
  • Fully equipped, with beautiful poured concrete floor and airconditioning.
  • Through the terrace doors, you step directly into the orangery, offering a splendid view of the garden and the pool. A room with a view, perfect for guests who appreciate tranquility and privacy.
  • The beautifully designed orangery, with its fully opening wrought-iron windows next to the pool, includes a dining table for 6 people, a lounge seating area, and a wood-fired pizza oven. It's an ideal spot for shelter from the intense sun or a passing rain shower, a place to take a siesta, play a board game, or enjoy a cozy meal.

The garden:

  • The one-hectare garden has been designed by a landscape architect and offers all of the privacy you’d expect from a superior holiday home. Highlights include plucking grapes from the vineyard, wander among the olive trees, play a game of ping pong on the permanent table, have a petanque competition, or simply savor the majestic and beautiful surroundings with a glass of wine. Dolce far niente...
  • The large, landscaped garden is fully enclosed by a thicket and hawthorn hedge.
  • Expansive views of the surrounding Le March countryside.
  • Outdoor shower, various natural stone terraces, 12x3.5m swimming pool.
  • 12 x 3.5 m swimming pool. Water purification is via an automatic salt electrolysis installation that dispenses a low dose salt (NaCl) solution in free chlorine and lye. The chlorine is converted back to salt within a closed system, resulting in soft, natural swimming pool water after treatment!
  • Pergola by the pool with adjustable sun loungers, lounge chairs, easily movable seats, and folding chairs..
  • Olive trees and vines with edible red and white grapes.
