Owners Simon and Carmelo have made it their mission to renovate and modernize this converted 1970's house as 'green' as possible, with as light touch possible on the environment. Every detail is thought of, also as regards to interior, design, and comfort. After an extensive renovation of nearly three years they opened as a luxury bed and breakfast for guests last year, offering amazing views of Versilia and Corsica and a stunning saltwater infinity pool.

The modern and light interior is alternated with a few striking, colorful (art) objects and furniture ...you will find Artemide lights, Kartell furniture, good beds, thick bathrobes. Everything is new, spotlessly clean and the rooms all have a distinctive and beautiful fragrance. Outside is a covered lounge and BBQ area and of course the lovely pool with decked sitting area. The sunset on the terrace should not be missed!
Food
Start the day in a relaxed manner with a delicious homemade breakfast - served from 9.00 to 11.00 - with homemade bread, jams, juices, cereals, fruit and yogurt. Also served are meats and cheeses from the area. Simon and Carmelo are great hosts, and make you feel right at home whilst catering to your every wish. Simon is an excellent cook and prepares the most amazing pastas, salads and homemade bread. Regularly pizza or foccacia evenings are held, BBQs or drinks by the pool...all in an informal and familiar setting. The products used come directly from the garden or locally from the region. The land around Casa Colleverde has 190 olive trees which produce a crop of delicious olive oil each year. A selection of fine wines and spirits is available in the 'honesty' bar.
Area
Being on the border of Liguria and Tuscany, you can get the best from both worlds and there are many interesting day trips within striking distance - Florence, Pisa, La Spezia, Lerici, Cinque Terre and Portofino to name a few. For beaches there is alot of choice depending on what one likes. The nearest one is about 20 minutes away in Marinella. This could either be a public beach or on the other hand an organised private beach with showers, sunbeds and a restaurant. Torre di Lago, about 50 minutes away, is a big public beach with dunes which backs on to a nature reserve. If you look for a beach less busy with more privacy, there is Eco del Mar near Lerici about 40 minutes away. Also within 40 minutes away there is Forti di Marmi and Versilia with their many 'Bagni' - meaning private beaches where you have to pay to use the facilities - and sandy beaches.
