Immersed in the northern Portuguese countryside, a short distance from the coast, Casa da Raposa is set in peace. This traditional village house was renovated by the Portuguese owners (an artist and architect) with love and an eye for detail. Behind the robust stone exterior walls, you will be surprised by contemporary interiors where old and new blend harmoniously. Modern furniture and lighting are combined with old family heirlooms, soft old pink tones on the walls, and remarkable round wooden door frames. The catchy (block) tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms provide a bold contrast!

The house has every comfort and can accommodate up to 11 people. On the ground floor, is an attractive living room with a lounge area, fireplace, dining table, and a full-fitted kitchen. There are 5 spacious bedrooms, including one with three single beds (also perfect for children). Outside there is an inviting saltwater swimming pool - which can be heated on request - where children can have fun while you relax on the sun beds with a view over the mountains. The barbecue and dining table are perfect for communal dinners and long summer evenings. There is a concierge service with a wide range of extra services including breakfast, a private chef, massages, and yoga as well as organized activities in the area including sailing trips, wine tastings, and bicycle hire to explore the quiet country roads nearby.

Casa da Raposa is also an ideal place for water lovers, a short distance away is the Minho River with opportunities for kayaking and SUP, a little further away, just a 15-minute drive, long sandy beaches beckon on the coast for swimming, walking, and surfing. Braga and Porto are ideal for cultural trips, and even a tour across the border to Spain's Vigo or the O Rosal wine region is perfect for a day out.
