Casa do Eirado is a delightful holiday home with private swimming pool for eight people. Located in a tranquil, rural setting - a genuine luxury in the Algarve- it’s still only 5-10 minutes’ drive from some of the most beautiful bays in Portugal. Casa do Eirado has been tastefully renovated using traditional materials, such as limestone, wood, stone and terracotta, and its beautiful, light rooms boast a stunning architectural simplicity. The decor is pleasingly minimalist and features a number of unique pieces of local art and regional pottery. With four en-suite bedrooms, the holiday home comfortably accommodates up to eight guests (plus one baby) and is perfect for a shared holiday with family or friends.

The property also boasts a living/dining room and a separate spacious kitchen with sturdy range cooker; the perfect spot for rustling up extensive meals. The holiday home is nestled among expansive orchards - a lovely place for a quiet stroll and the ideal environment for the kids to play in. To their rear is a run (housing chickens and ducks), where the children will have endless fun collecting their own eggs. The (8x5 metre) swimming pool is a welcome luxury on sultry summer days, whilst the terraces offer plenty of opportunity for al-fresco dining, relaxing and soaking up tranquil, rural living. Thanks to its excellent insulation, wood-burning stoves and spacious living room, Casa do Eirado is also extremely suitable for holidays in the cooler months.

The property is conveniently located between Faro and Lagos, enabling you to explore nearby beaches as well as the quieter sands of the west coast. And, a visit to the authentic town of Silves, dolphin watching or surfing lessons are highly recommended!

Casa do Eirado is an atmospheric holiday home with private swimming pool for eight people. It enjoys a wonderfully tranquil locationin the Algarve, yet is still only 5-10 minutes’ drive from a number of picturesque bays, excellent restaurants and traditional Portuguese villages.

The holiday home is all on one level;

Spacious, well-equipped kitchen, with large range cooker, toaster and juicer
Living room with comfortable lounge area and wood-burning stove

There are four bedrooms, all with:

En-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet (one with shower over bathtub)
Stylish, neutral decor

Two bedrooms are furnished with a double bed, the other two with two single beds

A small ecological footprint

The owner is passionate about the environment:

Water is collected and filtered; drinking water from the tap
Solar panels provide warm water
Wood (for the wood-burning stove) comes from the property’s own land
To the rear of the orchard is a run housing chickens, ducks and turkeys; for fresh eggs every morning
The orchard is stocked with local trees, including almond, plum and hazelnut, in order to maintain regional biodiversity. There are also pick-your-own seasonal fruits, including apricots, grapes, plums, lemons, pomegranates and quinces.

Highlights:

Nestled in a vast 12,000 ha orchard (safely fenced) – a wonderful place for the children to play
Cot, high chair and baby bath are available upon request (at no extra cost)
Discreet and friendly owner pops by daily to feed the chickens and tend the orchard
Please note that the property does not benefit from a strong Wi-Fi signal
No TV and DVD as standard, but these can be arranged upon request
