The creative German owner Sandra and her Ligurian-born husband Simon (an architect) stumbled upon this old decaying house and turned it into a unique holiday home for six people.
With a brilliant sense of detail, the property has been renovated and reduced to its essence to preserve its original charm. The old stone walls and vaulted ceilings are the real protagonists of the house, as are the restored tiled floors and wooden beamed ceilings in the bedrooms. At the same time, subtle modern conveniences have been integrated to provide maximum comfort, while warm earth tones, natural materials, and original paintings add a harmonious ambiance to the airy and bright spaces.
Outside you will find charming spots with impressive sea views. Drink a coffee under the parasol in the lush Mediterranean garden, enjoy an aperitif or meal on the sun terrace or the shady patio on the top floor. The back entrance of the house leads to a small square where you can immerse yourself directly in village life. Ground floor:
You enter the house on the ground floor, dominated by old vaulted ceilings, stone walls, and polished concrete floors.
- You will find here the striking "industrial look" kitchen with a huge wooden worktop. The kitchen is well-appointed with an oven, gas hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, kettle, coffee machine, and next to the kitchen is also a washing machine.
- Adjacent to the kitchen in the same open space is the cozy dining room with a beautiful wooden table for 6 people and direct access to the Mediterranean garden.
- On the ground floor is also an eye-catching bathroom with a marvelous natural stone bath and a stone sink.
First floor:
- An open staircase leads to the first floor where you will find the stylish living room with a restored tiled floor. Under the vaulted white ceiling stands a comfortable and modern sofa, and there is a large built-in (stone) corner sofa.
- The two bright bedrooms on this floor are characterized by an authentic ceiling of old wooden beams and a warm atmosphere. Both rooms are furnished with a double bed, a mosquito net above the bed, and storage space for clothes.
- On this floor is the second bathroom with a distinctive walk-in shower, a toilet, and a sink.
Second floor:
- On this floor - at the back of the house - is a bedroom with a double bed and a study room that is equipped with a desk and colorful paintings.
- From both the rooms, you can step directly onto the sun terrace and the shaded patio.
Throughout the house, you have access to WIFI-internet. There is mobile air conditioning in one bedroom and fans in the other bedrooms.
Outdoor areas:
- On the ground floor, from the open plan kitchen/dining room, you have access to a Mediterranean garden with a round dining table and a parasol.
- Upstairs (on the 2nd floor) is a beautiful sun terrace and a shady patio with a wooden table and benches from where you can enjoy panoramic views.
