Nestled among the rolling hills of Le Marche lies Casa Fugiano, a historic country house set on an expansive private estate. Once part of the hunting grounds of Pope Leo XII, it has today been carefully and lovingly restored by Cinzia and Fabio, who found their dream place here. A place to slow down, surrounded by olive trees, oak trees, and a gently undulating landscape.
The more than 400-year-old farmhouse has been transformed into two atmospheric apartments, Terra and Cielo, each suitable for two guests. Both apartments have their own private entrance but can be connected via an internal hallway if desired – ideal for those travelling together while still enjoying privacy. Authentic features such as stone walls, wooden beams, and original materials have been preserved and combined with contemporary comfort. Think underfloor heating, subtle air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens, and elegant bathrooms. The interiors feel warm and refined, with natural tones, soft textures, and understated luxury.
Surrounding the house is a 9-hectare estate offering countless spots for outdoor living. Enjoy breakfast in the morning sun, read a book beneath an ancient oak tree, or spend an afternoon by the swimming pool with its spacious sun terrace. There is a barbecue area with wood from the estate itself, as well as several terraces for shared meals or quiet moments taking in the views.
Casa Fugiano is located in an unspoilt part of Le Marche, where you can walk for hours without encountering a car. In spring and autumn, the private woodland turns pink with blooming cyclamen, creating an almost fairy-tale atmosphere. Nearby are the Gola della Rossa Nature Park, the impressive Frasassi Caves, and charming towns such as Jesi and Fabriano. Craving the sea? Within half an hour, you can reach the beaches of Senigallia on the Adriatic coast.
