Casal No Campo is located just outside Âncora, one of the beautiful coastal towns on the northern Portuguese coast, in the Minho region. The north of Portugal is still very undiscovered, and therefore alone worthwhile. Most people think of the sun-drenched beaches of the Algarve when they think of a holiday in Portugal, but the north of Portugal has so much to offer.
Âncora beach (2 km) stretches from the fishing port to the mouth of the Rio Âncora. It is a beautiful and natural environment. The wide sandy beach is also popular with surfers. For families, the beach at the beach promenade, where there are fewer currents, is an ideal place to go swimming.
For a pleasant afternoon, drive to Viana do Castelo (14 km), this city is located by the sea and the river Lima. In this city you will find narrow streets and impressive architecture, including grand palaces, churches and monasteries. Be sure to visit the neo-Byzantine Santa Luzia church (18 km) on top of a hill from where you have a beautiful 360 degree view of the Portuguese landscape. Along the river Lima you will find Ponte de Lima (45 km), the oldest city of Portugal with medieval architecture and the original Roman bridges. Furthermore, you will find a national park with waterfalls, swimming rivers and historical towns. Besides swimming in the river, it is also possible to fish and canoe or take a quiet walk.
Discover the city of Braga (78 km), a 55-minute drive away, an old city rich in culture and history. Stroll through the maze of narrow streets, past gothic churches and baroque buildings. When booking, a deposit of 30% of the booking amount is required. The remainder must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of your stay. When booking within the period of 6 weeks, the total amount must be paid immediately. In case of cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of your stay, 50% of the deposit will be returned. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 6 weeks. We therefore recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.
The owners ask for a security deposit of 300 euros, which has to be paid in advance to Nice2stay. You will receive a payment request 2 weeks before arrival. If you leave the accommodation clean and no damage is found, the deposit will be returned within 14 days.
