Sustainability @ Casale Sterpeti
Casale Sterpeti has introduced many eco-friendly practices starting from the restoration of the old farmhouse with local reclaimed construction materials, bio-architecture, energy-saving techniques, and generates heat thanks to a solar thermal system. Next to that, the hotel:
- Recovers rainwater to irrigate the vegetable gardens and green areas that are planted with indigenous Mediterranean plants, suitable for facing long arid summers without heavy irrigation
- Avoids wasting water using taps with flow meters
- Has a plastic-free approach both in the rooms and common areas, as well as an accurate waste recycling policy
