A warm welcome awaits you in Château de la Resle. The Dutch owners who traveled to the area for business fell in love with this charming castle that they decided to buy. The careful renovation became a real work of love! Spaces of modern simplicity have been created in the historic building, where contemporary art and elegant furniture perfectly embellish the original elements of the castle, such as the fireplaces and the delicate plasterwork.

All rooms have an iPod dock, tea and (Nespresso) coffee making facilities and bath products from Marie Stella Maris. 

Facilities of the hotel:

• Saltwater pool 

The outdoor saltwater pool (open until the end of September) is heated and long enough to make laps. The pool is surrounded by a wooden terrace with sun loungers and weel-cared lawns.

• Spa, sauna, and gym

Spend time at the hotel's Spa, which can be found in the renovated farmhouse. The Spa is well-appointed with a black tiled hammam, a sauna, and a relaxation area decorated with modern art. Massage treatments are also available. The modern gym features a stationary bike, a rowing machine, and weights, among others. Beautiful paintings provide a welcome distraction during your workout. 

• Design boutique 

If you fall in love with the design pieces that are made exclusively for the hotel, be sure to visit the design boutique where you can buy, for example, the porcelain vases by Carolina Wilcke and the liquid steel candlesticks by Reinier Bosch. 

• Food

Each morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the sunny breakfast room with panoramic views of the gardens and pool. Crispy baguettes and buttery croissants, fresh fruit and fruit juices, eggs and fresh coffee greet you every morning. 

In the summer months on Saturday evening, host Johan puts on his apron and prepares dinner for his guests (on request and for six or more people). The menu is organic, locally produced, and internationally inspired. During the week and outside the summer there are many fantastic restaurants in Chablis and Auxerre.

Finally, the hotel has an honesty bar in the lounge and at the swimming pool, where you can help yourself with soft drinks, beer, wine, champagne and snacks at any time of the day.
