A warm welcome awaits you in Château de la Resle. The Dutch owners who traveled to the area for business fell in love with this charming castle that they decided to buy. The careful renovation became a real work of love! Spaces of modern simplicity have been created in the historic building, where contemporary art and elegant furniture perfectly embellish the original elements of the castle, such as the fireplaces and the delicate plasterwork.

All rooms have an iPod dock, tea and (Nespresso) coffee making facilities and bath products from Marie Stella Maris.

Chambre Chablis | 35m2 |1^st floor | 2 people

Located in one of the wings of the castle, the Chablis room offers a magnificent view over the valley of Montigny la Resle and the early sunrise. The room has a double bed (180x200cm) and an antique cupboard - a local find - in which you will find the facilities to make tea or coffee in your room. The adjoining bathroom has a large shower, a toilet, and a sink.

Chambre Irancy | 35m2 |1^st floor | 2 people

Irancy is a comfortable room (35m2) set in one of the wings of the castle overlooking the park. It has a king-size bed (180x200cm) that can also be made up as two single beds. The room has an antique cupboard - a local find - in which you will find the facilities to make tea or coffee in your room. The adjoining bathroom has a rain shower, a toilet, and a sink.

Suite Saint Bris | 60m2 | 2^nd floor | 2 people

Saint Bris is a charming suite - with a great view - located directly under the slate roof of the castle. It features a separate living room with a sofa, satellite TV, and a DVD player. Upon request, an additional single bed can be added in the living room. Besides, the suite has a small but fully equipped kitchen and coffee and tea making facilities. The bedroom has a double bed (180×200cm) while the adjoining bathroom is equipped with a large rain shower, a double sink, a toilet, and a bidet.

Caretaker’s house and suites in the farmhouse:   

Suite Noyers sur Serein | 125m2 | 1^st + 2^nd floor | 4 people

The Noyers suite is located on the first and second floors of the former caretaker's house in the courtyard of the castle. The building has a separate entrance from the street. This suite is decorated with a rare mix of modern design and contemporary art providing a natural and warm character.

The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a second toilet, a dining room, and a living room with a sofa bed (160×200cm) for two extra guests. On the top floor, you will find the bedroom with a king-size bed, a dressing room, and an adjoining bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink.

Suite Fontenay | 75m2 | 1^st + 2^nd floor | 2 people

The Fontenay Suite is situated in the recently restored farmhouse. The building is decorated in a loft-style with contemporary art and design. The suite is spread over two floors, connected by a spectacular spiral staircase made to measure in Venice. In the living room downstairs are a comfortable sofa and chair, a desk, and an antique cupboard with a TV. On the second floor, you will find a king-size bed (180x200cm) and the open bathroom which has a bathtub, two sinks, a rain shower, a toilet, and a bidet all in an ultramodern design. 

Suite Vezelay | 50m2 | 1^st + 2^nd floor | 2 people

The Vezelay Suite is located in the old farm building. With direct access to the pool located in the courtyard. A beautiful urban loft spread over two floors. The living room and the fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, kettle, grill / microwave, fridge / minibar are located on the ground floor. The sofa in the living room can be used as a sofa bed. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a comfortable 180 x 200 king size bed and a small desk. The bathroom has a large rain shower and is separated from the bedroom by a studio window. It also has a toilet, sink, magnifying mirror, hair dryer and bathrobes.

Facilities of the hotel:

• Saltwater pool 

The outdoor saltwater pool (open until the end of September) is heated and long enough to make laps. The pool is surrounded by a wooden terrace with sun loungers and weel-cared lawns.

• Spa, sauna, and gym

Spend time at the hotel's Spa, which can be found in the renovated farmhouse. The Spa is well-appointed with a black tiled hammam, a sauna, and a relaxation area decorated with modern art. Massage treatments are also available. The modern gym features a stationary bike, a rowing machine, and weights, among others. Beautiful paintings provide a welcome distraction during your workout. 

• Design boutique 

If you fall in love with the design pieces that are made exclusively for the hotel, be sure to visit the design boutique where you can buy, for example, the porcelain vases by Carolina Wilcke and the liquid steel candlesticks by Reinier Bosch. 

• Food

Each morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the sunny breakfast room with panoramic views of the gardens and pool. Crispy baguettes and buttery croissants, fresh fruit and fruit juices, eggs and fresh coffee greet you every morning. 

In the summer months on Saturday evening, host Johan puts on his apron and prepares dinner for his guests (on request and for six or more people). The menu is organic, locally produced, and internationally inspired. During the week and outside the summer there are many fantastic restaurants in Chablis and Auxerre.

Finally, the hotel has an honesty bar in the lounge and at the swimming pool, where you can help yourself with soft drinks, beer, wine, champagne and snacks at any time of the day.
