Comfort is the keyword here! The 10 attractive, spacious suites and the family apartment (for 2-4 people) are gorgeously decorated. Expect refined design, locally made furniture and accessories, Portuguese tiles, and extraordinarily spacious walk-in showers with luxury soap. Each suite has its own seating area in front of the door, Nespresso coffee, a SONOS music box, soft towels and bathrobes, comfortable box-spring beds and air conditioning. If you have something special to celebrate, choose the romantic tree house with a private pool and panoramic view of the orange groves and the sea. Absolutely unique!

The vibe is quiet and relaxed, the Portuguese owners are very welcoming and friendly and provide a unique family feel. Children play here together in the garden, and the heatable pool has a dedicated children's pool.

Start the day with a breakfast consisting of homemade bread, pancakes, a fried egg, honey and jam, local cheeses, and fresh fruit juices from the orchard. Spend the next few hours on the XL lounge beds by the pool, and jump into the water to cool off. There are hammocks in the peaceful garden full of wildflowers and orange trees for a shady siesta and massages can be booked.

If you want to spend the day actively, the owners can recommend countless excursions that they have made personally. Borrow a bike and ride to the idyllic beach of Fábrica, explore on horseback the surrounding meadows and coastline (also for the kids) and admire picturesque villages and the natural splendor of Ria Formosa. Upon your return, a creative dinner with regional recipes is waiting for you; and end the day on your terrace enjoying the scent of the orange trees and a glass of local wine. This is vacation!

Pure relaxation in an intimate and rural setting

Conversas de Alpendre is a beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by a beautiful garden with fruit trees and is only 2 kilometers from the sea.

The hotel has 10 rooms spread over three types of suites plus a family apartment, ideal for couples and small families. Special is the romantic tree house in a carob tree in the garden. The suites and the tree house are equipped with luxurious facilities and carefully decorated with Portuguese artisan decorations and furniture that blends harmoniously with the white and modern interior. The beds have excellent mattresses and are made with the best linen; the bathrooms have very spacious rain showers and fine toiletries from the brand Castelbel. Besides, they are equipped with WIFI internet, air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, and a SONOS Bluetooth music box to listen to your favorite music. Soft white bathrobes and towels are waiting for you.

Outside @Conversas de Alpendre:

  • The hotel is surrounded by orange groves and has a large garden with cork and carob trees, wildflowers, and hammocks for relaxing hours.
  • A large saltwater swimming pool and a separate baby bath. The water in the pool will be heated outside summer season, the pool is open from feb - nov.
  • At the poolside stand luxurious double day beds under white pergolas and comfortable wicker lounge chairs and sun beds.
  • In the garden is a playground with a swing and slide.
  • The covered terrace is inviting and equipped with tables and chairs. Here you can enjoy your breakfast or dinner.
  • Inside is a large communal living room (here are as well tables to dine at) and a library.

Food @Conversas de Alpendre:

  • Every day a rich breakfast is served with organic products from the own farm or from the neighbors and include homemade bread and croissants, honey and jam, local cheese and ham, eggs (which are prepared as desired), yogurt, fruit, and fresh pressed juices ...
  • Snacks are available throughout the day (from 12 to 18 pm). On request, a picnic can be prepared that you can take with you for a day at the beach.
  • A chef prepares an excellent dinner inspired by regional specialties 6 nights a week (from Tuesday to Sunday) by appointment. The menu is fixed with a choice of fish, meat, or vegetarian, although the chef is flexible if you do not like specific menu dishes.
  • The owners can also recommend regional restaurants that they have personally selected.

Children @Conversas de Alpendre:

Small families are very welcome and will experience a relaxing stay here. You can dine together early in the evening, or bring your child to bed and then enjoy your meal “en deux” on the terrace (within hearing distance). Children can play in the gardens, and there is a saltwater swimming pool with a shallow part for the little ones.

A baby bed or a comfortable sofa bed for 1 extra person can be placed in all rooms (except the tree house). In addition to a handy kitchenette, the family apartment has twin beds in the open living room plus a sofa bed for 1 extra person.
