Immersed in nature, Farmstay Resort Craveiral sits in the hills of Odemira near the wild Alentejo coast. Created by a Portuguese owner with a clear vision, it’s a place where families wake among cork oaks, couples unwind in peace, and friends savour the small things—simple luxury done right.

Across the 9-hectare grounds, four whitewashed buildings form a friendly, village-style setting with 38 light-filled studios and houses. Each has a private wooden terrace, quality Portuguese design, box-spring beds (some Hastings) and well-equipped kitchens (some SMEG). Stroll the wooden walkways to the main building for the restaurant and pools; little ones can visit the farm animals, ride a horse, stargaze, and toast marshmallows by the fire.

Daily indulgences include a changing breakfast of local delicacies and a restaurant marrying Portuguese flavours with seasonal produce from the garden and nearby farms—now with a redesigned outdoor space and cozy fire pits. Wellness steps up with a sleek spa (sauna, indoor pool) plus an outdoor hot tub, cold-plunge and exterior sauna. The Costa Vicentina Natural Park begins at your door for hiking and biking; beaches are 15–20 minutes away—complete the day at the Craveiral Beach Bar with loungers, snacks and sundowner.

The house was welcoming, nicely decorated and with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, showers powerful, great coffee machine and cleane...

Beautiful place in the middle of nature. Secluded but close to the beach and nice town. It is a beautiful yard with its own vegetable garden, horses and place for children to play. Great breakfast and they make delicious pizza. Other than that food is a bit disappointing. Hygiene of bathroom was dis...

Brilliant place for a nature break while enjoying Portuguese simple luxury lifestyle

Farmstay Resort Craveiral

Farmstay Resort Craveiral is set on a 9-hectare estate and consists of four buildings connected by wooden walkways. The main building houses the reception, the restaurant, and the wellness center (with heated indoor pool, sauna). Spread over the other three buildings, you’ll find 38 accommodations—studios and holiday homes with one or two bedrooms. One of these buildings, the most distant from the main building, has a private swimming pool in its patio.

  • On the 9-hectare estate, you will find:
  • Two outdoor swimming pools, one for adults and one for children (next to each other), with luxury sunbeds and umbrellas next to the restaurant.
  • An outdoor pool exclusively for the Cravos cluster (Farmloft and Farmers WeWood).
  • Renovated outdoor restaurant terrace with more space, fresh décor, and cozy fire pits—a guest favorite.
  • A farm with horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, and ducks.

Eating @Craveiral

  • The farm-to-table restaurant works mainly with regional and seasonal products. For lunch, there are light options such as salads, pasta, omelets, and toasties, accompanied by natural juices. Organic pizzas are prepared in a wood-fired oven on weekends.
The dinner menu features starters, soups, fish and meat dishes, and desserts, made with produce from the on-site garden and local farmers. Each house includes coffee, tea, water, homemade cookies, and a welcome basket.
