De Zwarte Molen is tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Lille, right in the heart of the Antwerp Kempen. Here, vast pine forests, heathland, sandy lanes and historic village centres blend seamlessly into a landscape that invites you to slow down and embrace the outdoors. In this special setting, you stay in a characterful wooden windmill dating back to 1863, now transformed into a unique holiday home for 4 guests. Surrounding the mill is a lush one-hectare plot, offering plenty of space to enjoy life outside — breakfast at the garden table, a book in the sunshine, and children free to play and explore.

Inside, the windmill was tastefully and atmospherically redesigned in 2025, with comfort and functionality in mind. On the ground floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen with dining area and a separate toilet. One level up is the cosy living room with beautiful views over the grounds — the perfect place to enjoy an aperitif together, play a board game or simply unwind. The bedrooms are spread across the upper floors: on the second floor there is a bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom with shower and washbasin, while at the top you will find a spacious bedroom with a king-size double bed.

The surrounding area is equally inviting for relaxed exploration. You can walk and cycle through pine forests, past heathland and charming villages, with routes leading towards Turnhout, Herentals or Kasterlee. Nearby you will find De Lilse Bergen, a recreational area with a swimming lake, sandy beach and playgrounds — ideal for families. Along the way you can also discover the region’s rich heritage: from historic farmhouses and small chapels to the artists’ village of Wechelderzande, known for its distinctive light and open landscapes. De Zwarte Molen is a place where you can truly switch off from everyday life and enjoy quality time together — surrounded by nature.
