Fontalbe is a recently renovated holiday home for 12 adults + 2 children near the authentic village of Saint-Avit-Sénieur (in the Dordogne). The old papermill has been completely renovated in an attractive modern, rural design and offers families and friends luxurious and spacious accommodation in a unique location.

Layout Fontalbe (600m2)

Ground floor:

• The chic entrance of the house opens into the open hall with a gray cement floor, an old wood stove, and two modern butterfly chairs.
• The hall takes you to the very spacious dining room with a large wooden table with comfortable chairs illuminated by industrial lamps. French doors provide direct access to the garden.
• On the left side of the hall, you enter the spacious kitchen made of gray concrete and finished with old wooden doors. It is equipped with all modern appliances such as a stove, extractor hood, American refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, espresso coffee and filter coffee machine, and microwave. In addition, the kitchen is equipped with large quantities of pans, bowls, cutlery, and crockery.
• The long side of the kitchen also serves as a bar with 4 plexiglass bar stools.
• Large French doors provide access to the terrace where you find another large dining table in the shade of the trees.
• From the kitchen, you enter the lofty lounge equipped with four large sofas, two near the wood stove and two with a view of the garden. There is also a round coffee table next to the bookcase in the corner.
• The white beamed ceiling creates a nice contrast with the gray cement floor, wooden side table, and alluring decorations.
• The salon has a Bluetooth speaker, a DVD player, and a large TV.
• The 6th bedroom has a connection (via a door and stairs down) with an extra 'smaller' living/kitchen on the ground floor. You can book this space additionally. It features an open kitchen with a hob, oven, refrigerator, extractor hood, coffee machine, and a dining table with four chairs. The living room has a wooden ceiling, a light cement floor, and a colourful sofabed for 2 extra children. The wood-burning stove provides comfort on cooler evenings. Behind the kitchen, a staircase goes up to the first floor where the 6th bedroom and ensuite bathroom and toilet are located (it is locked if the room is not booked)

First floor:

• In the main entrance, a staircase takes you to the first floor. 
• The top floor is very spacious and light. The light floor is combined with white walls and wooden beams on the ceiling. Framed posters add color to the spacious hallway where a large window offers a view of the garden and swimming pool.
• All ensuite double rooms are on the first floor, one room has a freestanding bath (in the room) and all rooms have a spacious rain shower, a separate toilet, and a sink. The very comfortable beds are super king-size and can be split into twin beds if necessary. The beds are made with white Egyptian cotton bed linen, while the bathrooms are equipped with hammam towels, hairdryers, and personal care products.

Outside:

• At the back of the house is a large heated swimming pool (10x12m, 1.4m deep) - heated from May to September - with a sun terrace, which is completely private and overlooked only by trees and the building itself. Here you can enjoy the sun and the peace and quiet on the comfortable sun loungers in the shade of the parasols.
• In the garden is a covered area with an outdoor kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, sink, gas grill, and a BBQ. You can enjoy lunch or dinner together at the large dining table. In the evening the area can be illuminated by the large modern mushroom lamp!
• Additionally, the grounds feature a new pétanque court, swingball, and a hammock.

Children:

• There are various board games, books, and DVDs available inside the house, while the inflatable pool toys, pétanque court, swingball, and table tennis table provide plenty of outdoor fun.
• Four baby cots and four high chairs can be arranged, as well as children's cutlery, plates, and baby gates.
