The 7 rooms and suites with luxury bathrooms are located in converted stables with good beds, chrome-and-glass tables, polished concrete, some with a sitting area with fireplace and all with a terrace overlooking the orange trees and the city of Evora in the background. Outside there are 2 swimming pools and many shady corners and hammocks for the nice lazy moments. There is also an honesty bar and refined dinners in the restaurant with local ingredients. Here you will find rural tranquility with a seriously stylish twist. Our team visited it personally and can not wait to return.

'Imani' means 'to believe' in Swahili - this intimate country hotel on the countryside of Alentejo offers Portuguese hospitality at its best. The owners know how to mix luxury with laid-back: on the property you will find two swimming pools, two donkeys, an honesty bar and lots of rest. You can dream away on the veranda in a hammock, enjoy the music in the lounge of the restaurant or relax with wine next to the fireplace. Besides that, Imani Countryhouse features two lovely swimming pools, accessible throughout the year, to take a pleasant swim. The rooms and suites combine modern furniture with quirky pieces picked up during the owner's travels - a beautiful mix perfectly compensated by whitewashed walls, roof truss ceilings and smooth oak floors. All good basics are present: air conditioning, iPod dock, radio, flat screen TV, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and a minibar full of wine, chocolate and even cheese. Each room has its own entrance and part of the terrace with lavender, a parasol and outdoor seating.
Food
Breakfast is served in the open dining room: cold cuts, cheese, cereals, fruit, bread and pastries, jams - together with bacon, eggs, homemade orange juice and excellent coffee. The restaurant is open every day of the year. The chef combines traditional Portuguese ingredients with contemporary influences from Europe and beyond. Seasonal, modern and well-kept dishes are offered. Many of the ingredients used, are grown in the farm's own organic garden. This way your dish will be freshly prepared for you. Even the olive oil is produced here, extracted from their own hundred-year-old olive trees.
The team is committed to make you feel at home as much as possible. In this way you can enjoy the breakfast at your own pace, which is served until noon and in the colder months the fireplace will be heated for you. On all days it is possible to order the so-called 'light dishes' until 8 pm. There is also an honesty bar in the garden, filled with juices, beer and good wine specially selected for Imani by a vineyard owner and friend of the owners José and Mariana. If you want to go out for dinner you can easily take a taxi or even drive to one of the restaurants in Evora. The employees at the reception are ready to provide you with some good advice and can already make a reservation for you.

One of the Junior Suites can accommodate an extra bed (at extra cost) or a baby cot (complimentary); in the standard double rooms and the other Junior Suite only a baby cot can be placed. If you stay with more than 1 child, please book the Standard Suite or Superior Suite in the old stable, where two beds can be placed. It is also possible to connect a Junior Suite and a double room internally.

Near Guadalupe you will find one of the largest megalithic monuments in Europe. The beautiful historic center of Évora, which is on the World Heritage List, is just 20 minutes away by car. The adventurous people can explore the region with hot air balloons and the sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore the area with mountain bikes. For nature lovers, there is nothing better than discovering Alentejo or taking a photo safari. Alentejo wine is very well known in this region. A visit to one of the local vineyards is well worth it!
