L'Oubliée is a detached holiday villa privately situated in the eight hectares’ park of Domaine de Ribaute. This domain is a 13th-century castle estate a few kilometers inland from the white sandy beaches of the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. The charming Béziers, one of the oldest cities in France, is only a 10-minute drive away.
The French owners have completely renovated the property and converted into a spacious, discreet yet luxury holiday villa and four holiday apartments. During the renovation, not only traditional materials were used, but also original architectural elements such as the authentic tiled floors and wooden beams were retained. The eclectic décor style has been selected with care; you will find both a sleek design and various vintage items that form together a stylish combination.
Here, the contact with nature is very tangible, through the large windows you will feel yourself one with the lush green surroundings even when you're inside L'Oubliée. Because of the large spaces with high ceilings, the villa gives a New York loft style impression. The living area has a large dining table, a comfortable seating area, and an authentic wood burner. The fully equipped kitchen is separated from the living room. The villa, suitable for up to six people, has one bedroom on the ground floor with an ensuite bathroom with shower and separate toilet. The unique feature of this room is the amazing outside ‘bathroom’ with bathtub and shower.
The striking industrial steel staircase in the living room leads to the upper floor with two bedrooms. Both bedrooms enjoy plenty of natural light and have a natural atmosphere. One bedroom has a marvelous freestanding bathtub in the room, and the other room has a bathroom with an ensuite shower.
L'Oubliée has a large terrace with an open view over the large, beautifully landscaped garden. It is an ideal place to spend some nice days with the family; float in the heated private pool (5x2m), read a book in the stupendous lounge area, and enjoy at the large dining table an al fresco dinner, that can be prepared in the outdoor kitchen (with a stone sink and grill).
If you stay at L'Oubliée, you can also use the shared large saltwater swimming pool (24!x6m) with a partial shallow area. The pool is gorgeously finished with black, basalt glass mosaics and surrounded by different chairs - from design sunbeds, and Fatboys to trendy Rotan hanging chairs – for moments of relaxation. Also, you have access to the hammam on the domain.
For children, there is plenty to do at Domaine de Ribaute; they can keep themselves entertained with a football table, a swing, and in the large park there is lots of space to play. The owners of the house can provide extra services such as a home cook, massages, yoga classes, and even a babysitter!
