Located on the edge of Northern Italy's Lake Maggiore in the small fishing village of Cerro di Laveno, you will find La Dama del Porto. This boutique hotel with a gastronomic restaurant was recently opened after a long renovation by brothers Davide (Michelin experienced chef) and Matteo (the friendly host).

There are five elegant and sophisticated rooms and suites to choose from. They have a minimalist design and are finished to a high standard with warm wooden floors, soothing tones, and beautifully crafted furniture and fabrics. Each room has a balcony with a breathtaking view of the lake or the gardens. As a result of the hotel's eco-friendly policy, there is no television or air conditioning, but there are electric fans and free WiFi.

You will be spoiled with a complimentary breakfast every morning and you can dine (lunch only on Sundays) in the intimate restaurant with a glass facade and views of the picturesque harbor of Cerro. Expect dishes inspired by local traditions, prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients. In spring and summer, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace, which is located directly on the water.

Cerro Beach on the lake is just a two-minute walk away and is ideal for cooling off in the summer. From the nearby village of Laveno-Mombello, you can take boat trips or take the ferry to the other side of the lake for an idyllic car ride past picturesque villages. There are several mountains nearby that you can climb and reward you with the most sweeping views, but shopping in the fashion city of Milan is also an option for a day trip.
