La Escribana is an alluring Andalusian country house located just 500m from the picturesque Moorish town of Constantina, in a still undiscovered part of Andalusia. The centuries-old house was completely renovated by the Dutch-Spanish owners who turned it into a charming and spacious holiday home for 8 people, ideal for a holiday with families or friends.
Inside, old elements - such as beamed ceilings, tiled floors, and original details - have been carefully preserved and combined with attractive decorations and all modern comforts. The living room offers space for cozy evenings together and the large kitchen is designed for cooking together. The 4 double bedrooms are spread over the two floors of the house. For groups of more than 8 people, 4 suites (with ensuite bathrooms) are available in the adjacent building.
What makes La Escribana unique is its magnificent location in the green! The house stands on a plot of 5 hectares with almond and chestnut trees and has a beautiful garden with a large lawn and a private swimming pool. A large treehouse guarantees hours of fun for the children. There are several outdoor terraces, so you can always find a spot in the sun or shade for an al-fresco lunch or dinner.
But La Escribana is not only a perfect getaway to enjoy peace and nature! In the village, you can still experience authentic Spanish life with various places to eat. But it is also the perfect home base for day trips to the attractive white villages nearby or the cities of Seville and Cordoba!

Beautiful country house for 16 people with private pool in Andalusia
La Escribana is an attractive and spacious country house (360m2) surrounded by a beautiful garden of no less than 8,000m2 with a large lawn, old trees, and a swimming pool.
The house stands on a piece of land of 5 hectares and offers beautiful views over the green hilly surroundings. La Escribana consists of the main house - sleeping 8 - and an adjacent building which houses 4 double bedrooms - also sleeping 8 - all with ensuite bathrooms. The main house is on two floors and is arranged as follows:
Ground floor:
- The living room has some chairs and sofas, a fireplace, and a door to the terrace and garden.
- The kitchen is equipped with a sideboard, a dining table, and all modern appliances including an American fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, juicer, kettle, and various options for making coffee (Nespresso, Italian, and French). There is a bar island with three bar stools and a separate seating area (accessed via a few steps) with a few chairs and two sofas
- Downstairs is a bedroom with a double bed (180x200cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
First floor:
- On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed (180x200cm) and two with two single beds (90x200cm).
- These bedrooms share a bathroom with a bath and shower.
- There is also a separate sitting area with a sofa.
Outside:
- Around the house are three terraces where you will find sun or shade at any time of the day. Outside is a long table for 16 people and a Weber barbecue.
- In the garden is a swimming pool (8x4m, depth: 120-180cm) with sun loungers and an outdoor shower.
- For entertainment, there is a large treehouse, a ping-pong table, and a jeu-de-boules court.
- There is a private parking space for 8 cars.
You will find a welcome pack on arrival. A private chef and a shopping package are available on request.
