The decor is an elegant combination of authentic features such as old doors and wooden floors with unique finds from flea markets in the area. From every corner of the large flower garden (1000m2) behind the house, you can get a glimpse of the tower of the small church. La Maison aux Volets Bleus offers an ideal environment to feel yourself home and get some time for yourself. Go swimming in the heated pool or enjoy a moment in the hot tub; these facilities make this house as well a perfect place to stay outside the summer season. In the evening, get together with your beloved on the covered porch to savor a family meal (prepared with the built-in BBQ) at the large dining table or relax in the cozy lounge area.
Children will love it here; the (fenced) garden with large lawn has a sandbox, a tampoline and swings. There are also many games and they can play billiards, tennis across the street and have an ice cream in the village at walking distance.
There are as well lots of things to do in the immediate surroundings. At only two kilometers from the domain, you can go swimming in a refreshing lake with a beach. Furthermore, the kids will adore to ride a pony, search for knights in the castles in the area or go on an adventure in the nearby caves.

An amazing place for a relaxing family stay
La Maison aux Volets Bleus is a charming house situated in a small French village in the northern part of the Dordogne, nearby the surprisingly vibrant city of Bordeaux which is only an hour drive away. If you are looking for a lovely house to spend a relaxing holiday with one or more families, then La Maison aux Volets Blues is the perfect place for you!
Layout (200 m2)
Ground floor:
- A welcoming entrance hall, nicely tiled with old black and white tiles
- On the left side of the hall, you find the living room with fireplace and a beautifully outworn red brick floor. Look for the large chest which is filled with games for the children.
- On the right side, there is the billiards room with a billiards table and a living
- 1 bedroom with single beds
- Going straight, you reach the fully equipped open kitchen with a large stove and a dining room
- The impressively large fireplace is the eye catcher of the dining room that features a large wooden dining table, a couch, and two comfortable sofa chairs.
- From the kitchen and the dining room, large doors open straight onto the courtyard which leads to the garden
- All rooms have air conditioning
- Separate toilet
- Downstairs there is an additional room where eventually two children can sleep

- Bedroom nr 1 with double bed, bath and washbasin and connecting door to bedroom nr 2
- Bedroom nr 2 with double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower
