Le Pressoir is located on the edge of a small stream and is surrounded by lush greenery. Lost in the middle of a vast and beautiful valley, this old mill is the ideal place to retreat from the stress of modern life. This converted 14th-century water mill is located on the grounds of Chateau de la Bourlie and is surrounded by 1500 hectares of gardens, rolling meadows, and beautiful forests. Ecology is an important part of the estate's identity and culture, and various eco-friendly practices have been put in place that contribute to a sustainable environment.
Le Pressoir is very family friendly with plenty of space inside and outside and can accommodate 12 people + 2 small children. The rooms are heated by the sun in summer and by underfloor heating and fireplaces in winter.
Le Pressoir was completely restored in 2007 and has a contemporary, sober, and very tasteful interior within the 14th-century walls. Old wooden beams, beautiful carpets on the concrete floors, and large windows that let in sunlight and fresh air. Art and nature go hand in hand with a lively use of color, texture, and modern & antique furniture. You will enjoy the privacy and the relaxing setting, surrounded by fields, flowers, and plants.
Behind the two-bedroom cottage (30m from the main house) lies the beautifully designed elongated swimming pool with sun loungers, surrounded by grass.
Every day the chateau team serves an organic French breakfast with bread, pastries, local yogurt, seasonal fruit, jam, honey, and butter, along with fresh milk and fruit juice.
