The house comprises an open-plan living area with a kitchen and living room. The kitchen has a dining area as well as a dishwasher, gas hob, microwave-oven combination, fridge, freezer, and espresso machine. In the living room, there are two lounge sofas and a wood-burning stove. From the living room, a door leads to the first bedroom. This bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed and a large wardrobe. The second bedroom has two king-size beds. This bedroom gives access to the spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, separate toilet, and washing machine. The third bedroom is located in an annex. This bedroom has a king-size bed and is equipped with a wardrobe and an extra sink. The house is surrounded by a beautiful private garden with some large trees that provide shade. Next to the house, you will find a terrace with a picnic table and a bench and two parking spaces.

Maison des Sablons is situated in the green hilly region of Charente, northwest of Bordeaux, 1.5 kilometers from the typical French village of Brossac. You can reach the village on foot via a beautiful walk (25 minutes) between the fields. It provides you with all the daily amenities, there is a small supermarket and local bakers and butchers. There are also some restaurants, including a pizza restaurant and a pharmacy. Some larger supermarkets are within a 10 km drive from the accommodation. Every Saturday morning there is a mini-market in the village where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, local honey, and wine.

The property is a 5-minute walk from a lake with a sandy beach. There is also a clubhouse and a restaurant (only open during the summer months) where you can eat and drink something at the lake.

Another beautiful swimming lake, Aire de Loisirs de Beauvallon, is a 15-minute drive away. Here you can swim, enjoy the sun on the beach or hire a pedalo. There is also a bar where you can have a drink or eat something in the evening.

Maison des Sablons is situated in a versatile area, where you can make various day trips to picturesque villages, beautiful cities, nature reserves, and the beach.

Sporty guests can go golfing, horse riding, cycling, and walking in the surroundings. A lovely walk (buggy-proof) can be made at the beautiful Lac Bleu in the (still undiscovered) nature reserve in Guizengeard (8 km). 

Aubeterre-sur-Dronne (22 km) is a charming village with nice cafes, restaurants, and a cozy village square with many antique shops. A trip to this village is easy to combine with a visit to the River Dronne below. Here is a nice beach, and you can swim and go canoeing.

Be sure to visit the weekly (Saturday) market in Villebois-Lavalette (36 km) and the town of Angouleme (55 km) which has as well a great local market, the Halles d'Angoulême, to buy fresh regional products.

In Cognac (55 km), you can visit famous Cognac houses and do a tasting, but you can also enjoy strolling through the lively shopping streets.

Bordeaux (90km) is also a beautiful city to explore. It has some nice neighborhoods with charming stores, nice restaurants, coffee bars, and cozy squares. The largest digital art center is also located here, where both young and old can enjoy themselves for hours.
