Mas Bernad is an extraordinarily delightful holiday home situated in Catalonia, just 30 minutes from Girona and the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava. Spanish owner, Ignacio, completely renovated the property in 2015 and now offers a warm welcome to those wishing to explore this stunning part of northern Spain.

Layout of the house: 

Ground floor: 

• Sitting area with fireplace and film projector (bring your own USB stick and laptop with films).
• Children’s play corner complete with fun games, such as Kapla building blocks and an assortment of children’s books. 
• Separate toilet with wash basin, washing machine and first aid kit.
• Semi-open plan kitchen with all amenities; Nespresso coffee machine + coffee percolator, oven, dishwasher, blender, juicer etc.
• Kitchen benefits from swimming pool views, enabling you to keep a close eye on the children.
• Guests can choose to dine inside or outside at one of two tables, each comfortably seating six.

Upper floor: 

• Large master bedroom with double bed (160x200), wardrobe and sofa bed (with potential for accommodating two additional (young) children).
• 2 small bathrooms, both with shower, wash basin, toilet and window. Please note that 1 shower is a little on the low side.
• Bedroom with two single beds (90x200 cm and 80x190 cm), built-in wardrobe, desk.
• Double bedroom (160x200), built in wardrobe, safe and desk.

The garden

• The holiday home is peacefully located at the end of a well-maintained country lane. It is surrounded by lawns, trees, plants and flowers, leaving guests feeling fully immersed in nature.
• The circular swimming pool is 8 metres in diameter and 1.20 metres deep. It can also be securely closed to prevent your little ones from entering unattended.
• The wooden swimming pool terrace is equipped with sun beds, a canopy for some welcome shade, and an outdoor shower
• There’s also a sauna for the cooler months (for 3 people)
• The built-in BBQ caters for plenty of al fresco dining on the (covered) terrace
• Mountain bikes are provided for guests and can be used for cycling to the local village or exploring the area beyond

Mas Bernad is a fantastic holiday home for families with children of all ages. The property is surrounded by outside space where your little ones can run wild. Your kids will simply love: 

• The football pitch with goals
• The large selection of games, including badminton, Kapla building blocks and a delightful assortment of children's books
• Watching a family film together on the big screen in the evenings
• Various outside activities and games

• Shaded car parking
• Two families, including a Dutch family, live on the same road that leads to Mas Bernad. Whilst the owner of Mas Bernad lives just fifteen minutes away, it’s nice to know that there are neighbours close by.
• The neighbours grow their own vegetables and keep chickens. Guests can buy vegetables and fresh eggs from them every morning.
