Owners, Paolo and Maria Grazia, originally hail from nearby Manduria. After years spent living and working in Milan, they longed to return to their homeland. In 2010, they realised their dream of sharing an appreciation for rural life with others, when the doors of their private paradise was finally opened to guests. You'll be immediately struck by the close attention to detail, including lovingly selected flowers, antiques and beautiful pieces of pottery.
The Masseria boasts 18 rustic rooms and two apartments, all with air conditioning, fireplace, small fridge and TV.
Guests can sample the authentic atmosphere of a real masseria and, upon returning from a fun-packed day out, will be greeted by the tempting flavours and aromas of Mediterranean cuisine. Maria Grazia rustles up delicious meals with the help of local villagers, who certainly know the tricks of the trade! Indeed, each dish is passionately and carefully prepared using fresh seasonal produce from the estate’s own grounds or the immediate vicinity. Dinner is served at various tables and accompanied by the estate’s very own red and white wines and olive oil. Morning begins with an extensive breakfast, including homemade jams, cakes and ciambelle (doughnuts). The superb, 18 by 8 m swimming pool is located in a tranquil spot within the large grounds and is surrounded by sunbeds. In the spa inside there is also a heated swimming pool.

This sixteenth-century Masseria originally belonged to the powerful Imperiali family. Enviably set in a country estate surrounded by endless olive groves and vineyards, it’s conveniently close to the historic town of Manduria and only five kilometres from the sea with its infinite dunes of golden sand.
The property is flanked by the original buildings, which have been tastefully converted into simple, elegant guest rooms. The whitewashed walls of the old farmhouse reflect the intense Southern Italian light and provide a beautiful contrast to the stark Mediterranean landscape. The 18 hotel rooms and apartments boast their own fireplace and private terrace overlooking lush gardens brimming with flowers and fruit trees. Guests are welcome to participate in Mediterranean cooking classes, where you learn to prepare homemade bread, taralli, friselle and orecchiette using seasonal vegetables from the gardens. The friendly owners additionally organise monthly yoga retreats and offer Ayurvedic massages. They’re also happy to recommend Puglia’s hidden treasures, including beautiful beaches and the best places to sample the authentic Puglian landscape and culture.
