Mendi Argia is the Basque name of this beautiful and small-scale design boutique hotel. The name means "illuminated mountain" because the 100-year-old villa is located on the slopes of Mount Ulia and offers an enviable view of the city of San Sebastián below.

The villa, which had been neglected for years, was recently renovated under architecture, retaining its original character and some unique old elements such as the beautiful wooden staircase and striking stone arches. Natural materials such as terracotta, oak, and black marble create a serene and elegant atmosphere. Collaborations with beautiful design brands; furniture by, for example, Thonet and Gervasoni, lighting by FLOS, Santa & Cole, and Oluce. Nanimarquina carpets, Teixidors and Jab textiles give a nice finishing touch.

You will stay in one of the 8 luxury rooms (of which two family rooms), all warmly decorated with design pieces, wooden floors and furniture, and black details - such as in the bathrooms.
