Between the forests and fields of the De Merode nature reserve lies the Molenhuis aen de Beddermolen: a beautifully restored historic heritage estate where time seems to slow down. The Molenhuis itself is a characterful holiday home that combines an authentic atmosphere with modern comfort. Outside, a large garden awaits with a terrace and views of the old mill — a unique place to cook, dine, and play.

Inside, the Molenhuis feels like a carefully preserved family story. There are three charming bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, a spacious live-in kitchen, and a cosy opkamer where you can retreat with a book or where children can play. The living room is warm and inviting, with views of the garden and the landscape, which reveals a new palette of colours each season. The house is fully equipped for long, relaxing days with family or friends.

The surroundings of the Beddermolen invite endless exploration: walk through the forests of De Merode, cycle past castles and country estates, wander through the charming town of Westerlo, or taste local craftsmanship — from organically brewed beer to fresh bread from the bakehouse, which is still used in the traditional way on the estate. This is heritage at its finest — with tranquillity, nature, and time for one another.
