As you approach Monte da Vilarinha via the small lane that winds its way quietly through the green valley, you’ll sense that something truly special awaits. Indeed, it’s one of the few small estates in Portugal that’s not only extremely beautiful on the inside; with its delightful gardens, swimming pool and pretty terraces, it’s also beautiful on the outside. Each of the ten holiday properties (a mix of rooms, studios and apartments, spread over three houses) combine a sleek and modern finish with traditional materials, such as slate, terracotta and bamboo. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Children are extremely welcome and are guaranteed a fantastic time here. There’s lots to see, do and discover, including a playground, a superb swimming pool, plenty of nature to play in and of course, the fantastic beaches close by. There’s even a small playroom with toys for toddlers. The rooms, studios and apartments are spread over 3 different houses and each boast their own individual "concept". Yet, regardless of the holiday accommodation you opt for, you’ll always benefit from a private terrace with outdoor furniture.

The style is characterized by high bamboo-and-wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and furniture fashioned from local cork. The beds are equipped with extremely high quality mattresses and made up with Egyptian cotton sheets.

Casa da Ribeira is closest to the swimming pool. This property comprises four open plan studios, all with bathroom (with shower), a sitting area and a kitchenette. The sofas can also be made up as single beds (suitable for two children) if desired.

Casa de Cima is located slightly further up the hill. It is home to three large apartments, each with a double bedroom, a living room with sofa (which can be used as a single bed), a kitchen / dining room, and a bathroom with bathtub.

Casa do Forno can be found just past the bread oven and BBQ terrace. This house boasts 3 double rooms, which together make use of a large open plan kitchen / dining and living room. Whilst each room can be individually booked, Casa do Forno is ideal for larger groups of holiday makers who wish to rent all three rooms and thus enjoy private use of the kitchen / living room. An extra bed can optionally be placed in 2 of the 3 rooms meaning that the house can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 8 people.

The kitchens in the studios and apartments are well-equipped with a gas hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher (please note: no oven!). Shops can be found in the local village, which is located just 2 km from Monte da Vilarinha.

Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner
The healthy breakfast buffet comprises a selection of local cheeses, ham, eggs, tomatoes, fresh fruit salad, homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious freshly baked bread, croissants and cakes from a famous bakery in Aljezur. Lunch and dinner are available upon request (preferably with 24 hours notice). You can choose from a tempting lunch menu showcasing mouth-watering local dishes, such as squid and prawn salad or mushroom risotto, whilst dinner is a changing three-course meal, often with fresh fish. Much of the salad and vegetables come from Vilarinha's own organic vegetable garden.
