Owners, Helena and Goncalo, had long been searching for the perfect place to create simple, authentic and relaxed holiday accommodation for both young and old. After much exploring, they and their three children finally settled on the serenity of the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. Completely surrounded by nature, Pé no Monte is their proverbial 'dream come true.' And, conveniently located just 10 km from the west coast’s most beautiful beaches, it’s the ideal destination for your next family beach holiday in Portugal.

The authentic farm is nestled in some 10 ha of private grounds. The architect has cleverly added a modern and minimalist building to the original structure, ensuring a seamless transition between past and present. With a variety of different levels, plenty of natural light and large, bright rooms, the design is truly unique.

Pé no Monte comprises 8 spacious family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, 2 studios and 7 apartments (2-6 people). The apartments are equipped with kitchenette, living room, 1 or 2 bedrooms and a private terrace. Daily breakfast is included during your stay.

Several communal rooms make Pé no Monte ideal for socialising and making new friends. There’s a large living room with sofas arranged around the fireplace, a TV lounge, and a playroom with table tennis table and table football etc. Outdoors, a VW camper van has been playfully converted into an honesty bar, where Goncalo will happily pour you a beer. From mid April to late October, the restaurant is open for a light lunch and dinner.

The garden is one giant paradise in which guests, young and old, can play and relax. It boasts an expansive lawn furnished with bean bags, hammocks, a playhouse, football goal posts and two lovely swimming pool of which one is a salt water pool.

There are plenty of fun activities in the local area, such as jeep safaris to the nearby beaches, donkey riding in Aljezur, surfing lessons and stand-up paddling.

Thanks to the countless facilities and surprising number of fun activities on offer, Pé no Monte is the ultimate in family-friendly holiday accommodation. All 8 rooms are extremely suitable for families, whilst the 7 apartment and 2 studio's offer welcome additional space and privacy. Regardless of the accommodation you choose, you’ll be treated to a delicious breakfast buffet prepared from fresh, local products.
