The owner Mara has a real passion for design, combining modern pieces with vintage finds (Murano glass mirrors with 1960’s dressers). The mix is eclectic but at the same time very chic, and works beautifully against the whitewashed walls, beamed ceilings and sleek flooring; it is no wonder that the suites have already been a number of times in interior design magazines. The suites are located on the top two floors of the guesthouse. Each suite has a spacious bedroom, kitchenette and sitting area and also a private bathroom and shower. There are two sofa beds in the Upper Suite, making the accommodation suitable for four people.
Lower Suite on the first floor:
A bright and airy space with a private staircase, leading out to the courtyard below. Detailed interior is composed using apple green and mustard yellow, surrounding a large four-poster bed, and a white bathroom.
Upper Suite on the second floor:
Once this space was used for drying the grapes for the famous Amarone wine. A cozy suite with subtle oriental atmosphere by the black furniture, red accents and lantern-like lamps. The bathroom has funky cobalt-blue walls and a waterfall shower.
Both suites have a carafe of wine upon arrival, thoughtful toiletries, coffee / tea making facilities. The suites are approximately 50m2 with queen-sized beds (160 x 200). There are two sofa beds in the Upper Suite. There is WiFi internet access, a hairdryer, and a compact fridge. Both suites have a small kitchenette with a microwave, sink, toaster, cooker, kettle, Moka machine for coffee and cutlery + crockery. You can prepare your own breakfast here with the breakfast products that the owners will set up for you. The breakfast products will be refilled once in the two days. Also the cleanings of the suites are carried out every two days.
In the beautiful garden you will find plenty of small nooks where you can enjoy the peace and the beautiful view. The small pool/whirlpool is a wonderful place, with sun loungers and views of the valley (pool towels are provided). The small pool/whirlpool can be used privately by guests for 2 hours a day.
For lunch and dinner, there are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding villages (Mara has many tips for you). The region is known for its risotto, tiramisu and tortellini pasta. A few minutes from the house is Antica Osteria Paverno located. A friendly restaurant with a shaded terrace, where you can eating delicious risotto made with the famous Amarone wine.
