Set in beautiful nature, Podere Santa Chiara has also taken several eco-friendly measures to reduce its impact on this beautiful environment:

• Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the farm and the entire structure is powered by the energy produced by the panels.
• There is a charging point for electric cars and electric bicycles in the guest parking lot
• Guests have free access to electric and normal bicycles to reach the sea or discover the surrounding countryside.
• The use of plastic has been reduced to almost zero: personal care products, such as shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap, are refillable and come in glass or ceramic containers. Plastic water bottles are not used, and a water purifier provides fresh still, and sparkling water. At mealtimes, water and drinks are served in glass bottles 
• Seasonal vegetables and cheeses are purchased from farmers or ranches in the nearby area. Podere Santa Chiara produces extra virgin olive oil from olive trees planted in their fields and prepares all their dishes exclusively with their olive oil.
• The paths in the gardens are made of "Lecce stone", a natural stone found only in the Salento region, and the walls around the entire perimeter of the farm are made by local craftsmen with "reused dry stones".
