Quinta do Ameal is a genuine working vineyard in the heart of the Lima valley – a truly magical part of the beautiful Minho province in northern Portugal. Nestled within this vineyard, amidst lush oak and pine forests, are three large, fully furnished apartments for 2-3 people and a detached family holiday cottage with private garden and large veranda for 4 people.

The cottage (4 people) - Vineyard House:

This lovely detached holiday cottage enjoys a completely private position on the edge of the estate. With a lovely garden, bordered by a bamboo forest, and a covered veranda, it’s perfect for family holidays or for 2 couples!

• Living room with sitting area, beautiful rugs, table with chess board, television, ceiling fan
• Open plan kitchen with dining table and wood-burning stove
• Two bedrooms with exceptionally comfortable beds
• Both bedrooms benefit from an en-suite bathroom equipped with shower, wash basin and toilet, as well as a door to the outdoor showers (with hot and cold water). There’s nothing more romantic than a candlelit shower at dusk, surrounded by lush bamboo!
• French doors to the covered veranda with dining table, outdoor kitchen and sun beds
• Please note that there is no air conditioning in the cottage

The three spacious apartments (60-80m2) are all located in the main house, which boasts a communal living room with large kitchen and a lounge area with large dining table.

Every apartment is a true home away from home that benefits from a kitchen/kitchenette, air conditioning, luxury bed linens, bathrobes and bathtub. Each boasts its own individual design, location and unique finishing touches.

Jardim suite (2-3 people):

• Situated on the ground floor, it opens directly out onto a private terrace within the garden
• Open plan kitchen (the only one with a dishwasher) with dining table and sitting area next to the wood-burning stove
• Cabinet crammed with pretty crockery
• Spacious bedroom with large double bed
• Large en-suite bathroom with separate bathtub, double wash basin and huge rain shower

Glicínia suite (2-3 people):

• Located on the first floor
• Living room with tall windows, high ceilings and an abundance of natural light
• Sitting area with wood-burning stove, TV
• Kitchenette
• Huge rain shower, double wash basin and toilet
• Loft bedroom with bathtub

Camélia suite (2-3 people):

• Located on the ground floor, with small private terrace
• Live-in kitchen with kitchenette and sitting area
• Unique bathroom with bathtub, double wash basin, toilet and an outdoor shower (hot and cold water)
• Spacious loft with double bed

The country estate:

• Reception area with a small wine shop
• Working vineyard, where guests are free to watch workers perform a variety of tasks in all seasons
• Lima river, which offers beautiful walks and plenty of fun for your little ones
• Inviting garden, with lush wisterias and 200-year-old-trees
