Audrey and Antoine, the duo behind this house, designed this lovely home. Following the success of their first home in the Basque Country, they wanted to share their love of interior design and travel in Provence. The result is a warm and stylish retreat, with terracotta as the common thread – a colour and material that runs throughout the house, in the bathrooms and bedrooms, as well as on the tiled outdoor terrace. The interior has been personally and carefully curated, with characterful furniture and finds from local markets.
The house features a well-equipped kitchen that connects to the living room, which is bathed in sunlight and looks out onto the terrace through its large windows. The four bedrooms, including a lovely children’s room, and four bathrooms (one with a hammam) are comfortably and tastefully decorated, with natural materials and soothing colours. Outside, you find plenty of spots to unwind. Enjoy a dip in the heated pool, an al-fresco lunch under the pergola, or an aperitif at the pool house.
There is also much to discover outside the gates of Villa Ocre. The Alpilles are at your feet, and the picturesque villages of Les Baux-de-Provence and Eygalières are nearby. In the area, you will find everything from Provençal markets to top gastronomy and historical sites. Whether you want to walk, taste, explore, or simply enjoy the sun, it all comes together here.
