Nestled in the rugged landscape of the Alpilles, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and green oaks, Villa Poésie is an elegant family villa for ten guests, set on a vast private estate of 240 hectares with views over the rolling hills of Provence.
The villa is part of Domaine Jòlibois, a remarkable olive estate where owners Anne-Sophie and Clément lovingly brought an abandoned olive grove back to life. The original 1960s house was completely renovated into a warm and stylish retreat where natural materials, soft tones and refined details take centre stage. Think custom-made light wood cabinetry, marble accents, large windows and bathrooms with characterful tiles subtly inspired by Mediterranean style.
Inside, everything feels spacious and light-filled. The open living area with its large fireplace forms the heart of the house, while each bedroom has been designed as a peaceful suite with hotel-quality bedding and views over the garden or olive groves. The master suite at the back of the villa stands out with its large windows and uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. Families are equally well catered for: upstairs, children can enjoy a cosy playroom and home cinema where they can gather and play together.
Life outdoors naturally flows from morning until late evening. The large terrace blends seamlessly into the garden, while the heated swimming pool overlooks the olive groves and the Alpilles hills. Beneath the trees, a long outdoor dining table awaits for dinners under the stars, and the pétanque court adds to the authentic Provençal atmosphere. In October and November, staying here becomes even more special during the olive harvest season, when guests can discover how the estate’s olive oil is produced.
Villa Poésie is located between Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence and the Crau plain, one of the most beautiful regions in the South of France. Charming Provençal villages, local markets, wineries and vast nature reserves are all within easy reach. Even the sea is close enough for a day trip, with the beaches of Fos-sur-Mer just a 45-minute drive away. Yet above all, this is a place where time seems to slow down - where long lunches, the sound of cicadas and the golden light of Provence set the pace of the day.
