The small village is a short walk and everything is within reach: small shops, cafés and restaurants. The beach is great, kids love the sea pool that is safe for them. Have lunch at the Azenhas do Mar restaurant on the beach and have an afternoon drink in the beach bar. Of course there are also plenty of surfing opportunities and other active activities such as mountain biking and hiking.
