My name is Rita, I am 42 years old, and I live in Boliqueime, Algarve. I am the owner of Luzico Algarve.

I am a dreamer with two beautiful children and a passion for travel. After studying graphic design, I became fascinated by photography and creating beautiful spaces. The entire creative process makes me happy, especially creating images and environments that resonate with others.

When and how did the accommodation come into your life, and what motivated you to make it a part of your life?

Luzico was born as a tribute from my sister and me to our grandparents. It was their first home, and our father was born here. We wanted to leave something special for our family. The name Luzico is a combination of our grandparents' names: Luz and Xico.

Can you tell us more about the process of renovating and furnishing your accommodation?

The construction was completed in 2020, but we only started renting in 2021. During the three years prior, we worked on permits and projects. We reused some furniture from our grandparents and added new pieces designed by ourselves and local craftsmen.

What makes your accommodation truly special for you? Are there special memories or moments that make it extra dear to you?

The rich family history surrounding the house makes it special. It was a beautiful and emotional moment to show our grandmother the new house.

How would you describe the atmosphere and interior of your accommodation?

Our accommodation has a calm, familial atmosphere, with a simple design that radiates hospitality yet still has plenty of personality.

Which part of your accommodation do you cherish the most and why?

I especially treasure our dining area on the terrace. It is an enchanting place with a peaceful family atmosphere and a simple, welcoming design, surrounded by lush nature.

What makes the location of your accommodation unique and special?

It is located in a small, beautiful village with mountain views. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the location offers a serene environment.

Are there any sustainable or eco-friendly practices associated with your accommodation that you are proud of?

We utilize solar panels for heating water and have set up a designated area for waste separation for our guests.

What motivated or inspired you to rent out your property to guests?

Our motivation comes from the desire to share the beauty of Luzico with others. We want as many people as possible to enjoy this special place.

Our guests always take a little piece of Luzico with them. We ensure a pleasant experience and share our history with them. The Mediterranean garden and pool with terrace provide the perfect setting to enjoy the sun and the blue sky.
