Meet the people behind the place: Mas Edem

Amid the landscapes of Provence, Mas Edem, created by Nicolas and his family, is set among vineyards, gentle hills, and shady forests. From its gardens and terraces, guests can soak up the light, the views, and the relaxed pace of the Luberon.

Just around the corner lies Goult with its weekly market, cafés, and charming streets, while Ménerbes, Gordes, and Roussillon are all within easy reach. Provence here is lived at its best: vibrant villages, beautiful scenery, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What is the name of your accommodation?

MAS EDEM

Could you introduce yourself and share a bit about your life, such as your interests, hobbies, or background?

Together with my family, I embarked on a new chapter by bringing Mas Edem back to life in 2017. We are based in the Luberon, where we live year-round, dedicated both to our vineyard and to hosting guests from around the world.

How did your property become part of your life? When did it happen, and what inspired or motivated you to take it on?

Mas Edem had been asleep for more than a decade before our family decided to revive it in 2017. We were driven by the desire to shape an exceptional site dedicated to “la Dolce Vita”, blending respect for nature, local traditions, and a quest for authentic living.

What was the process of creating your property like? Tell us about renovating, furnishing, or styling it.

The renovation of Mas Edem was a real family adventure. We spent months lovingly restoring the house and its facilities to blend comfort, local style, and eco-consciousness. Every piece was thoughtfully sourced to create both luxury and harmony with the landscape.

What makes your property truly special to you? Do you have any favorite spots, cherished memories, or personal touches that make it dear to your heart?

For us, Mas Edem is above all a place of rebirth and connection – to nature, to the rhythm of the seasons, and to our guests. The first olive harvest, the new pistachio plantation, a sunset over the vineyards with friends, or simply sharing laughter with our family in the serene garden, are memories we cherish.

How would you describe the atmosphere and interior of your property?

The atmosphere at Mas Edem is both elegant and relaxed, with a refined yet welcoming interior. The design subtly mixes Provençal charm, natural materials, and comfort, offering spectacular views over the vineyards, forests, and Mont Ventoux.

Are there any sustainable or eco-friendly applications associated with your property that you are proud of?

Located at the southern edge of the Rhône Valley, in the heart of Luberon, Mas Edem is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, pistachio trees, forest, and scents of garrigue, with breathtaking views and exceptional tranquility.

What motivated or inspired you to rent your property to guests?

We wanted to share the beauty and serenity of this exceptional setting with others, allowing our guests to discover the authentic Provençal lifestyle and reconnect with nature.

What can guests expect when staying at your accommodation? Share the experience, the highlights, and perhaps the best compliment you’ve received from past guests.

A stay at Mas Edem means waking up to birdsong, savoring local wines and olive oil, exploring the markets of Provence, lounging by the heated pool, or playing pétanque at sunset – all in a setting infused with tranquility, comfort, and natural beauty.

What do you hope guests will take away from their stay, and do you have any special tips or recommendations to make their holiday unforgettable?

Mas Edem stands out through its exceptional tranquility and extensive range of amenities rarely found in Provence. The estate features a private tennis court, a dedicated cinema room, and a very large heated swimming pool, ensuring relaxation and leisure for all. With 11 spacious bedrooms, we can comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests, making Mas Edem ideal for large families or groups looking for privacy and luxury in an authentic natural setting. The combination of these amenities, our privileged location surrounded by nature, and our dedication to guest comfort makes Mas Edem truly one-of-a-kind.
