Acquaghiaccia Country House is a beautiful bed & breakfast located in the southern part of the Italian province of Umbria. The tranquil, 20-hectare estate is nestled in woodland and, with 10 rooms, offers intimate and peaceful accommodation where guests can relax and unwind. Friendly Italian owners, Rita & Stefano, provide a thoroughly warm welcome and remain on hand with tips and advice throughout your stay.
The rooms
The 10 rooms are spread over the two floors of the main building. All feature a private terrace with access to the garden and are equipped with a small refrigerator, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with shower, toilet & bidet, hairdryer and shower products. Shutters, meanwhile, ensure a sound night’s sleep. There are two types of room: Deluxe (22 m2) & Twin Superior (24m2). In the family room (room 10), a third person can sleep on an extra bed or a baby bed can be placed. In family room 11, it is also possible to place a baby bed.
Breakfast
Upon awakening, guests can take advantage of the daily breakfast buffet, which is served in the restaurant and can be enjoyed either inside or outside on the terrace.
The buffet consists of a mix of sweet and savoury products, many of them homemade, and naturally there’s delicious Italian coffee.
Lunch
In addition to rest and relaxation, the owners are keen for guests to sample their organic dishes. Rita has many years’ culinary experience and, together with her team, happily rustles up mouthwatering dishes using regional produce. In fact, Acquaghiaccia Country House operates a 0-kilometre policy, meaning that all products are purchased from local farmers.
Spa
In addition to the large saltwater swimming pool, guests can also choose to relax in the superb indoor spa. Here you can unwind in the Turkish bath and indoor pool, or simply lie back in the lounge chairs and soak up beautiful views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside. Massages are available upon request. Outside Acquaghiaccia is idyllically situated on a beautiful country estate, surrounded by forests and its own fruit and olive groves. The garden is spacious and boasts several terraces. The large infinity swimming pool (purified brine) is situated to the side of the main building, opposite the spa, and is surrounded by a sun terrace with sun beds and parasols.
