Casa di Fichi tells the story of a long search and a love for Italy. Its Dutch owners spent two and a half years looking for the right place for their second home. Tuscany was the first thought, but Le Marche quietly won them over with its rolling landscapes, excellent food and beautiful beaches.

The moment they arrived at Casa di Fichi, they felt they had found something rare: an authentic country house with its own vineyard, close to the Adriatic coast. After an extensive renovation, it is now a light, spacious and welcoming holiday home where old character and modern comfort come together naturally.

The traditional exterior opens into a bright, minimalist interior with designer furniture, a state-of-the-art kitchen and carefully chosen details from Asia and other faraway places. With four bedrooms, Casa di Fichi comfortably accommodates 10+2 people.

Outside, fruit and olive trees provide shade around the large dining table, while the pizza oven, barbecue and swimming pool invite relaxed meals and long, easy days outdoors.

Definitely take benefit of having the home made cooking. Tasty menu with lots of options. It's a bit like going to restaurant in your own home, really great.

Casa di Fichi is the beloved Italian retreat of Hans and Inger from Rotterdam. After years of travelling through Italy and Asia, they found their ideal place here, with views of a nearby village, mountains in the background and the sea just a short drive away.

What began as a simple renovation became a thoughtful transformation focused on light, space and comfort. Today, Casa di Fichi is a stylish 340 m² home, set on 1.3 hectares of land and filled with a warm, personal atmosphere.

Superb, modern holiday home for 10 + 2 people, just 20 min from the sea

Whilst the property’s authentic exterior evokes ancient times, its modern interior is bright and minimalist... light, neutral colours lend a thoroughly peaceful and tasteful ambience, and, as the charming holiday home is surrounded by greenery, it has the feel of a genuine oasis.

Casa di Fichi can comfortably accommodate 10 + 2 people across 4 spacious bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. 1 bedroom has air conditioning.

  • Large living / dining room with wood-burning stove and TV
  • Well-equipped, modern kitchen: 6-burner hob with double oven, dishwasher, Jura bean-to-cup espresso machine, milk frother, mixer, blender, toaster and double fridge/freezer/dining room

With 1.3 hectares of private grounds (including a vineyard) enveloping the house, there’s more than enough room for everyone.

Casa di Fichi is not only ideally situated for discovering this authentic, unspoilt part of Italy with its typical Italian villages, but it’s also just a stone's throw away from the sea. And the village of Barchi, with its restaurant, supermarket and bar, is only 3.5 km distant.

Each morning the local baker delivers fresh bread (according to your order placed the previous day). 

A private chef will also happily rustle up delicious meals upon request!
