Upon arrival you will quickly notice that El Carligto has found the right balance between the feeling of staying at an authentic farm estate and the exact right modern additions, which results in a luxurious, yet scenic holiday home.

The house can be booked based on self-catering or you can choose to let your self be spoiled by booking some of the many additional services available. The ultimate holiday feeling will envelope guests upon their arrival; a house ready to settle into, with a well-stocked refrigerator. You will round off the day with a welcome dinner, prepared on site by a top chef. Part of the complete package is the option to book a variety of excursions from the house, like a visit to the Alhambra palace. Another unique option is to let yourself be immersed in the local Spanish life; visit a local farmer, learn how to prepare a paella or drink a good glass of Spanish wine during one of the many local festivities; surrender yourself to beautiful Andalucía!

El Carligto has a total of 300 m2 of living space. The lay-out:

• A traditional wooden door will lead you to a hallway, which transcends into the living room. The stylish sitting area has a comfortable couch and a large open fire-place, which adds extra atmosphere to this room.
• The fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table for 8 persons is very suitable for preparing your own meals, maybe with the help of one of the many cooking books that you can browse through for inspiration. A private chef can also prepare your daily lunches or dinners or help you to cook an exquisite local dish with local products.
• A small hallway will lead you to a cozy bedroom with a double bed (140 cm wide) and an adjacent bathroom with a shower.
• The hallway leads toward two more bedrooms with double beds (180 cm, wide) which can be made up as single- or double beds. These two rooms share a bathroom with a bath, shower and a toilet.
• In the hallway there is an extra toilet. The hallway leads to a door that can be locked. Behind this door lies another hallway, where you will find the second living room, a bedroom and an outdoor terrace with an adjacent library and a wine bar.
• The fourth bedroom is a very spacious room with a double bed (160 cm wide) and a luxurious bathroom, which is fitted with a Hammam-style bathtub and a shower. Two doors open onto a private terrace with loungers, an outside shower and an ocean view.
• The library offer you privacy to read a book or if necessary, to “get some work done” in peace. A door opens onto a shady sitting corner on the patio, which has a nice view of a large, open fire place. The other door opens onto a private lounge, where you’re a watch TV or play games on the play station.
• The terracotta floor has floor heating for the chillier seasons and the air-conditioning ensures a pleasantly cool climate during the hot summer months.

A well maintained garden with several terraces and sitting areas surrounds the cortijo. It’s layout:

• A large covered dining table, which seats up to 10 persons and a smaller dining table for 4 persons to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail during lunchtime.
• A small meadow for younger children to play on
• A small vegetable garden on a special location; the ruins of the former siesta cottage
• The swimming pool area, which is located on a slightly lower level and offers spectacular views. The outdoor kitchen and lounge will surely be a popular dwelling spot during your stay
• Here you will also find a spa cabana for massages and beauty treatments
• An environment-friendly construction; solar panels for warm water, re-use of water for the sprinkling of the garden and with every new booking, a tree is planted.

For larger groups or special events, the nearby, yet private, The Hunting Lodge, may be rented together with Cortijo El Carligto...together hosting up to 14 guests.
