Built as a winegrower’s home, this 1850s property has been freshly renovated by former neuroscientist Marine Raphanel, and offers guests some unforgettable memories of an authentic French village experience.
The residence has four bedrooms with private bathrooms, and a family suite with three bedrooms for six guests, all overlooking a large garden. The whole property can be booked to accommodate up to 15 people.
After a year-long renovation, the house presents a mix of antique pieces, original copper and volcanic stone with modern European furniture, hemp linen, and bright colours. There is also a communal kitchen fitted with all the appliances you may need. Eco-consciousness forms a big part of the design, and you can see this in the locally sourced toiletries and accessories.
Cordoned from the street by high walls, the expansive garden and swimming pool sit behind the house. Bliss off into a dreamy respite on the sunbeds or hammocks under century-old trees, or try your hand at the beloved French game of Pentaque on the special court. On the outdoor dining table, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast every morning, with some items sourced from local bakers and shopkeepers, and some made fresh on-site by the owner.
There are plenty of activities to indulge in around the house too, including hiking trails that start almost at the foot of the property. The Auvergne commune is naturally blessed with beautiful lakes, and the picturesque Lake Pavin is within driving distance. The popular ESP Super Besse ski resort is also in the vicinity.

- Spacious and minimal, with windows overlooking the garden.
- A king-size bed and private bathroom with hairdryer, shower and bath products. The WC is separate.
- The room also has a fireplace and a small work desk.
Chambre Pavin | 2 Guests
- This room is cosy and comfortable, with a king-size bed.
- There is a private WC, with an open-plan tub and sink.
Chambre Puy de Dome | 3 Guests
- Minimal design and earthy colours define this room.

- The garden sits behind the house, bordered by high walls.
- There is a 12x6 m swimming pool with sunbeds and retro French umbrellas. The pool is open from May to September.

- The outdoor dining table can seat 15. There is also a barbeque.

- One extra bedroom (the 8th) with a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom is available to book for a fee of 130,- EURO extra per night.
- The ground floor kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and grill.
- Indoor facilities include board games, table football, billiards and a grand piano.
- The entire house is centrally heated.
- In line with the ecological theme in the house, stonewashed hemp linen and solid soaps and shampoos are provided.
- Washing and drying facilities as well as cleaning services are available.
