A few kilometers from the hamlet of Francescas, in the French Gascony countryside, is set the elegant country house Maison Duroy. It is a house with a remarkable history, once the hunting lodge of Henri IV, where you can completely immerse yourself in nature. Maison Duroy is run by the Swiss couple Sylvia and François who renovated the house with the greatest care and detail. It beautifully combines old charm and modern design.

The main house 'La Maison' has two double rooms and there is a charming farmhouse with its own facilities for a couple or a small family. With a love for interior design, all rooms have a unique design; a mix of vintage pieces and trouvailles from the couple's various travels, timeless design classics, and works by internationally renowned designers. Everything here is of the highest quality!

In the 'Maison' you will find a salon and a library with an old turntable where you can sit and drink a glass of wine. An excellent breakfast is served on the terrace in a private setting for every room and chef François lovingly prepares a delicious three course menu several times a week, which is served table d'hôte style at a long communal table on the terrace. The house is surrounded by a beautiful park (4 hectares) with a vegetable garden, saltwater swimming pool, and a large terrace with sweeping views over the rolling hills.

Known for its wines and Armagnac, Gascony offers plenty of picturesque villages – such as Nérac and Lectoure – and local markets. In addition, the Garonne River is perfect for kayaking trips and there are plenty of cycling opportunities nearby.
