This historic farmhouse in traditional Alentejo architecture is characterized by airy open spaces with high beamed ceilings and handmade tiled floors which give it an authentic Portuguese style. In harmony with the natural surroundings, the interiors are rural - with green wooden paneling, desks, and cupboards - combined with modern furniture, colorful lamps, and creative decorations and artwork (from friends of the owner) on the walls.
The house has a large and attractive living room with a sitting area by the fireplace, a large table for family meals or an evening game, and a fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs are four double bedrooms - for 8 people - some with access to the outside and on the first floor you will find a television room and a spacious workplace.
Surrounded by an idyllic landscape, you will find several outdoor areas around the house and plenty of space in the garden where children can go on an adventure. Have lunch in the shade of the cork tree, enjoy a dinner on the terrace with beautiful sunsets, or warm summer evenings around the fire pit. Cool off in the natural swimming pool (with an adjoining lounge zone) and you can relax in peace in the hammocks. You will also find creative works outside, such as the self-built outdoor shower in a tree.
For sand and sea, you can drive in a little half an hour to the Atlantic coast with gorgeous beaches and you will find typical rural villages (Grândola and Santiago do Cacém) and a beautiful nature reserve with coastal lagoons and hiking trails nearby. Also, hip and chic Comporta and the old town of Sines are close to be discovered.

Monte Taipa is a beautifully renovated farmhouse, spread over two floors, surrounded by a large private area (10 ha!). It is spacious and has inviting areas inside and outside to enjoy peace and privacy with family and friends.
Layout Monte Taipa | 8 people
Ground floor:
- Spacious open living area with a sitting area by the fireplace, large dining table, and open kitchen
- The kitchen is fully equipped with a kitchen island/annex bar, it also has an oven, microwave, Espresso machine, fridge/freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, toaster, and kettle.
- There are four bedrooms, all with a double bed (180x200cm) and direct access to the outside
- There are four bathrooms, three of which are en-suite, all with a shower, toilet, and sink
- Laundry room with washing machine and dryer
First floor:
- Large landing/loft with a long desk and a (separate) TV room with a large sofa and a playful porthole window
Outside:
- There is a dining table on the terrace at the side of the house and you will find a second dining table in the shade of a large cork tree
- Round natural pool (12.5 diameter x 4.7 / 2m deep)
- Near the pool is an attractive lounge area (under the pergola) with a built-in sofa with cushions and some sunchairs
