Pergola Residence is an architectural gem. Designed by renowned architect Matteo Thun, it is fully integrated into the vines and apple orchards of the village of Lagundo (Algund) just outside Merano, in South Tyrol. The terraced structure with a larch wood facade and beautiful pergolas is completely absorbed in its natural environment. Inside you will also find high-quality and natural materials that, together with the modern design, create a warm and serene ambiance where you immediately feel at home. And that's the intention of Pergola!!
You will therefore not find a reception, but you will be welcomed in the cozy lounge (the living room) where you can come any time of the day to read, relax, or for a cup of coffee with cakes, which are made every day by the owner's mother. You can have breakfast and lunch "at home" in the complete privacy of your suite with delicious delicacies from the house shop, Little Bottega, or explore the culinary offer in the area, with recommendations from the staff. In addition, there is an honesty bar (James) where you can choose your favorite drink or walk to the wine cellar for a bottle of wine from selected wineries.
Pergola Residence has twelve suites - including some family suites - and two penthouses (for 2-3 people), all with an elegant lounge area, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, in addition, bathrooms with a shower (and bathtub) and 1-2 bedrooms or a partly separated sleeping area. Large windows allow you to enjoy breathtaking panoramas and provide access to a spacious private terrace where you can enjoy the view in peace and quiet.
And that’s not all! Enjoy a heated indoor swimming pool with a Finnish sauna and steam bath, along with a selection of relaxing massages, body treatments, and yoga or pilates sessions.
