Experience the essence of mindful and conscious living in The Terrace House, a secluded property for two guests surrounded by almost 300 centenary olive trees. Located in the olive oil and wine haven of Baix Ebre in Catalonia, this restored 18th century wood and stone residence is just as elegant and simple as its surroundings.

The earthy architecture of the house represents the simple and relaxed lifestyle of its guests, most of whom prefer to unwind and relax here on their travels around Spain. Surrounded by nature and huddled amidst olive groves, the house overlooks the sea on the horizon. The rustic interiors emanate a calming ambience that’s even more pronounced in the organic materials and finishes seen around the house. Inside, you’ll find one large space with a bedroom, spacious bathroom and a few kitchen implements.

The thoughtful design maintains a comfortable indoor temperature through all seasons, with additional equipment like a heating wood stove and a cooling fan available if you really need it. Large windows and a steady stream of sunshine keep the house well-lit at all times, and fresh rainwater is harvested for use. Fruits, vegetables, herbs and extra virgin olive oil are all produced on the grounds of the two-hectare estate.

Guests who prefer to re-energise on their visit can go cycling or walking along one of the many hiking trails nearby. The beach is a 10-minute drive away where you can try some watersports and the Ebro river is also close for a spot of fishing or a riverside picnic.

Although the property is nicely secluded, the owners themselves live in the house next door. Nevertheless, you can expect complete privacy and upon request they can help you with any questions or bookings. The owners also offer a variety of complimentary area-specific acitivities.
