Discover the essence of her mission and what makes her B&B so unique.

Before we dive into the details, could you briefly introduce yourself and any family members (e.g. name, age, place of residence) and share the name(s) of your accommodation(s)?

I'm Monica, the founder and owner of B&B Panorama Cinque. I'm 53 years old and, after a life working in a family company, I moved from Lake Como to Lake Garda for love. I, along with my husband Simone, run this small B&B on the western part of Lake Garda. This is our home where part of it serves as a B&B with good privacy for both our small family (me, my husband, and our beloved dog Suli) and our lovely guests for the past 11 years. Simone is a manager in an international company and loves to share our home with our guests. Suli is a very cute 10-year-old mixed dog; he is very discreet with guests and not intrusive.

We would love to share a bit about you as a person with our customers. Would you like to tell us more about yourself? For example: your interests, free time activities, work, family, holidays?

I have always felt a strong sense of hospitality as a mission. My job is to run Panorama Cinque. I like to help curious travelers and lovers of beauty get to know and enjoy the Italian atmosphere through attention to detail and hospitality, so they can travel, discover, and experience while relaxing. I'm really interested in culture, good food, design, tradition, and the Italian lifestyle. I like, indeed I adore, striving for quality in all areas. My motto is, if I have to do it, I do it well; otherwise, I leave it alone.

When and in what way did this property come into your life, and what motivated you to make it a part of your life?

When I stopped working with my family, I finally decided to invest in what I felt was my vocation: to welcome guests by finally doing things just the way I would have liked to receive them. When I first saw this house, I immediately felt that it would become the right place to do what I wanted. In 2011, we embarked on the renovation during which everything was designed to accommodate our guests while also becoming our home.

Can you tell us more about the process of renovating and furnishing your property?

The house was partly a barn and partly a farmer's dwelling. The garden was a vegetable garden that supplied vegetables and fruit to the hotels in Salò and Gardone Riviera. We gutted the house completely and decided to inhabit the upper part while leaving the ground floor with the large garden for the guests. As for the furniture, it was always very clear to me that it had to be as functional, essential, and bright as possible. Few objects to guarantee lightness and ease of cleaning and maintenance, following an eclectic line that gave space to Italian taste alongside Nordic contamination. We believe we have achieved a good compromise, and to hear guests' opinions, even after 11 years of activity, the impression is of entering an environment that is always up-to-date. This always makes it pleasant to experience the spaces that also communicate with the outdoors.

On a personal level, what makes your property truly special for you? Any standout memories or moments that make it dear to your heart?

This house was too big just for us. It immediately became special because it gave us the opportunity to create a family atmosphere with our guests without sacrificing privacy for any of us. We loved the fact that within a 20-minute walk, you can reach the lakefront via the village of Campoverde, and everything is at your fingertips, thus remaining in an ideal condition for tranquility and comfort. This was one of the factors that made this place special. An elderly psychic neighbor told us that there has always been a good energy in this house and that our souls were welcome in this place. This made us realize that I was doing the right thing.

How would you describe the atmosphere and interior of your property?

The atmosphere is elegant, relaxed, very bright, and connected to the nature around us. Italian style mixed with Nordic style makes the rooms contemporary and pleasantly authentic.

Which part of your property do you love the most, and why?

The areas in front of the rooms and the Lounge that communicate with the garden form a soul-stirring whole.

What makes the location where your accommodation is located unique and special?

It is unique because of the stylistic choices that have been made, because the location is so realistic and connected to real Italian life, and because the area is touristy in a less forced way than other parts of the lake.

Are there any sustainable or eco-friendly applications associated with your property that you are proud of?

We believe that we do not need written certifications to know that we have done our best to be less impactful on the environment we live in. This house has not stolen land; it has existed since the 19th century, and because it was built according to the criteria of the people of the past, orientation, size, shading, and green spaces were truly taken into account. Of course, it is equipped with modern technology that helps to waste as little as possible. The location of this house makes it possible to go to the center without a car, and from here, you can start walking or cycling in our surrounding hills and mountains. In addition to these not insignificant things, I try to buy local and seasonal products as much as possible. Precisely because everything is close at hand, I don't use a car for 6 months of the year and move around on my faithful bicycle. My guests can always see me going in and out on my bike laden with the shopping I do for them.

What motivated or inspired you to rent your property to guests?

I felt the need to put my essence into practice. To care for people in beauty. From a young age, I felt this vocation.

Can you paint a vivid picture of the overall experience someone can expect when staying at your property?

I think really finding what one expects from the images one sees is a big achievement. Here you can find empathy, respect, discretion, and care.

In what ways does your property stand out from others? What unique features or characteristics make it a one-of-a-kind experience for guests?

I believe in our true and constant presence, the quality of everything that is here at your disposal, a certain refinement in the stylistic choices of ambiance, objects, and good food. The truthfulness of ourselves and what we offer.

Can you share the best compliment you've received from a guest?

The first ever was Daniel, one of the very first guests 11 seasons ago, who exclaimed in front of my breakfast that I had understood exactly what a guest might want. Carolin, who comes three to four times a year because she is sure to find warmth, elegance, security, order, cleanliness, and practicality here. But best of all is when, with tears in my eyes, I am told that there is a beautiful energy in this place. We live here all year round, and the energy that guests feel is constantly inhaled, and perhaps that is what makes us want to continue on this path every year. It is not taken for granted.

Do you have any recommendations for guests to fully enjoy their holiday? Your valuable tips will be featured on your accommodation's page!

I am always available for practical advice and to share experiences because I am convinced that it can be very useful to have advice from us locals on things that you have seen in guides, social media, and more. It can change the experience a lot. When you come to this side of Lake Garda, you know that you are entering an area that is a bit more remote than other more touristy ones. Here there are many places linked to historical events, and the fact that the motorway is not so close means that it is not such an immediate, touristy, or banal destination. This helps make these places less crowded than others and much more easily accessible. Many types of sport can be practised here; biking is king, there are many nature areas with the possibility of walking or trekking, it is an area of production of interesting wines, there are many historical buildings to visit, and the most important cities of northern Italy are within easy reach.
