Our family consists of myself, Edoardo Longo (Edy), born in 1966, my wife Michela, born in 1967, and Matilda, our dog. We live here in Arco.

Would you like to share more about yourself? For example, your interests, hobbies, work, family, or vacations?

Michela and I have deep roots in the hospitality world. I practically grew up in a hotel since my father was a hotel manager. For six months each year, that hotel was my home. Michela has a background in the restaurant industry, and we have also worked together in our family business. We share a passion for architecture and love our dog Matilda, as well as animals in general. We enjoy traveling and visiting as many hotels as possible during our trips. In our free time, we relish long walks in nature, cozy moments with a few good friends, taking care of VIVERE, and relaxing evenings on the couch with books and TV series.

When and how did this accommodation come into your life, and what motivated you to make it a part of your life?

The idea of creating something unique by Lake Garda emerged in the early 2000s. Our goal was to create a small, intimate place that felt more like a home than a hotel, inspired by the cozy spots we encountered during our travels abroad. To realize this dream, we decided to complement our family's old farmhouse with a welcoming boutique hotel. The choice of the name VIVERE was not coincidental; it is dedicated to a dear friend who passed away during the period when we began our building plans.

Could you tell us more about the renovation and decoration process of your accommodation?

In building VIVERE, minimizing environmental impact was a key focus. We paid careful attention to proportions, heights, and materials to ensure the structure harmoniously integrated into the surroundings, making it as unobtrusive as possible. The decor, featuring a modern and timeless aesthetic, is made from materials that respect the environment while creating a warm, elegant atmosphere. We continually search for unique furniture pieces, often found at modern antique markets, keeping the hotel’s ambiance dynamic and evolving.

What makes your accommodation personally special to you? Do you have cherished memories that make it dear?

VIVERE is a project that Michela and I feel deeply connected to from the very beginning. We have invested much energy, creativity, and love into it. One of our most cherished memories is spending hours in the old orchard during the early days of the project, wondering if this was indeed the right place for VIVERE. The sounds of nature and a starry sky above left a lasting impression on us and mark the beginning of our extraordinary journey.

How would you describe the atmosphere and decor of your accommodation?

When the large, rusty gates of VIVERE open, it feels like stepping into another world. Many of our guests refer to it as a true paradise. Upon entering, you immediately sense a connection with tranquility and time. Tall hedges and spacious private gardens provide an escape from the bustle of the outside world. The refined yet humble architecture, respectful service, and local products create a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of the carefree Italian 'Dolce Vita.'

Which space in your accommodation do you find most beautiful and why?

My favorite space is undoubtedly the living room. It always gives me a sense of peace and 'home.' This is where Michela and I enjoy a cup of coffee during the day, spend many winter evenings, and welcome our friends and guests. It truly is the heart of our home, where many beautiful moments are shared.

What makes the location of your accommodation unique and special?

Imagine waking up in the perfect spot for your dream vacation by Lake Garda. VIVERE is an oasis of tranquility, nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Garda hinterland. It is far enough away from the crowds of the lake yet close to the beaches and vibrant towns to explore everything.

Are there sustainable or environmentally friendly practices in your accommodation that you are proud of?

From the beginning, VIVERE has been driven by respect for nature. Everything, from the dimensions and height to the materials and colors, has been carefully selected to blend harmoniously into the environment. Additionally, we have implemented innovative energy-saving solutions, such as a geothermal system, solar panels, and an advanced home automation system. As a result, we now produce more energy than we consume.

What inspired you to rent out your accommodation to guests?

Michela and I have been involved in the hospitality sector since our youth. Therefore, it was not a conscious decision to open our home to like-minded individuals who share our vacation philosophy; it felt very natural.

How would you describe the experience that guests can expect during their stay at your accommodation?

Our guests experience a unique stay by Lake Garda. They can enjoy the region’s sporting, natural, and cultural offerings but return each evening to a place that feels like a second home, where they can relax and embrace the surroundings.

What makes your accommodation different from others?

VIVERE offers an exceptional experience. Surrounded by lush nature and mountains, we combine refined architecture, personal service, culinary delights, and a homely atmosphere. Our unique offerings include everything from hiking and biking excursions to motorboat trips on Lake Garda, all with a personal touch that sets us apart from the rest.

One of the most beautiful compliments we received was, "I came to Vivere Suites to find peace and quiet, and that is exactly what I found. The architecture and surroundings invite relaxation, whether sitting in your private garden or by the beautiful pool reflecting the surrounding mountains."
