Have you ever dreamed of owning a castle? This was the case for the Swedish couple Annike and Pehr who fell in love with Chateau de Livry for its unique location in the Normandy countryside and its large bright rooms. Together with local craftsmen, they restored the historic 18th-century castle into an exceptional getaway for a relaxing holiday with family or a group of friends.

From the impressive tree-lined driveway, you can see the castle in the distance. Behind the stone facade, which charms with its stately appearance, you will find sun-filled lounges reminiscent of old times. Marble fireplaces, original 18th-century parquet, antique furniture, and chandeliers are harmoniously combined with a contemporary design while carefully chosen accessories, fine linen from the Swedish design brand Himla and calm earth tones contribute to a warm and charming ambiance.

Downstairs you will find a "grand" living room, office, and dining room that overlook the manicured gardens. Meals are taken in the spacious kitchen with a large fireplace and a wide selection of cookware and handmade tableware for family cooking and dining. Upstairs, a corridor with an eye-catching black and white cabochon floor leads to the four bedrooms, which are decorated in a classic style blended with a Scandinavian touch. On the second floor, there are 2 more ensuite bedrooms with which the castle can accommodate 12 people. Outside, a dining table is ready for al-fresco dining and the large gardens are ideal for playing or walking.

Thanks to its central location, Chateau de Livry is ideal for exploring Normandy. Close to the picturesque medieval town of Bayeux, the beaches of the Normandy coast, local seafood restaurants, and antique markets, there is plenty to explore around the chateau.
