Born from the dreams of a Swedish family with a deep love for France, Chateau de Livry came into Pehr and Annika’s lives three years ago and instantly captured their hearts. Guided by their passion for history, design, and creating meaningful experiences, they transformed the château into a welcoming retreat where time seems to slow down. Their vision was to craft a place where people could gather, relax, and enjoy life together in an authentic castle setting. Today, that dream has come beautifully true, as Château de Livry is greatly appreciated by guests who describe it as the perfect place to make memories and share unforgettable moments with family.
Château de Livry
We are a family from Sweden who has always loved old historical buildings and interior projects, with a special affection for France. Pehr has a background in finance as a CFO and consultant. Annika is the founder of Allinwood AB and has a passion for interior design. The company creates its own wooden furniture in Scandinavian style and also offers replicas of 18th-century pieces. We are delighted to welcome guests to our charming Château de Livry and share our dream.
Three years ago, we bought the château. It is a very charming project, and we are happy to take care of it.
The property was in good condition, and much of its old charm was preserved. We painted most of the interior areas as well as the windows and shutters outside. An artist friend of ours created beautiful wall paintings. The interior is a mix of brocante and antique finds, complemented by comfortable hotel beds with bed linen and fabrics from Himla and handmade ceramics. Together, these elements create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. We have also designed the garden ourselves.
We love creating spaces where people can thrive and enjoy a relaxing time together. It makes us very happy when guests write, “Thank you for opening your home to us.”
Charming and relaxing château life in a calm and rural setting.
Most of the construction is original, and reused and sustainable materials have been incorporated into many parts of the renovations, both by us and previous owners. Most of the furniture comes from antique shops, and many of the new products are eco-friendly and handmade.
From the very beginning, we had a vision to create a place where people could come together and enjoy a refined lifestyle in a castle setting.
“Our hearts are full. Our family is forever grateful! This was beyond our imagination. Your touches, details, love of your property, and gift of sharing... simply perfection. I have been in design for 38 years. I lived in your château ‘magazine’ for the week, with my jaw open.”

Our guests appreciate the château lifestyle itself — enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, cooking together, and taking daily excursions. We always share our recommendations in the “Good to Know” guide once the booking is confirmed.
