La Paz
We are Harry & Patrick. We live in Antwerp (Belgium). Alongside our professional lives, we have always been busy renovating houses, buildings, or apartments. A second house, El Cielo, has just been completed. This passion for design and creating a relaxed home was the foundation for exploring this adventure in Andalusia. We also love cooking, enjoying a good glass of wine, visiting museums, and from time to time you’ll find us on the golf course.
In 2017 we visited countless houses—some too small, others too dark, many without the warmth we were searching for. The furniture and decoration often didn’t match the atmosphere we wanted to create. But La Paz was different: it captured the spirit of Andalusia with open skies, endless views, and a sense of peace that is hard to describe yet impossible to forget Unlike the other houses we saw, this one felt like a sanctuary, blending comfort with nature in a rare way. From the first visit, we knew this was more than a house—it was a home.

When we began renovating La Paz, our dream was clear: to create a home that felt timeless, authentic, and deeply personal. We chose to work with natural materials, letting the character of Andalusia guide us with a touch of Ibiza. In the kitchen, old olive wood became the heart of the space—its rich texture telling the story of the tree itself. The walls and ceilings were painted pure white, allowing light to flow freely through every room. For the bathrooms and bedrooms, we embraced simplicity with polished concrete, shaping showers and even beds out of it.
What makes La Paz truly ours is the decoration. Every object carries a memory. Pieces we collected during holidays around the world—woven textiles, small sculptures, handmade ceramics, and unique works of art—now live here with us.La Paz became more than just a house we renovated. It became a canvas of our lives, a place where nature, craftsmanship, and our hearts all came together. And yes, just like in Antwerp, where our door is always open to everyone, we created the same feeling at La Paz.
The atmosphere of La Paz is calm and light. From the moment you enter, there is a sense of openness—whitewashed walls reflecting the Andalusian sun, while wide windows frame endless views of the valley. The house feels both simple and refined, with every detail chosen to bring serenity.
Inside, the interior is guided by natural materials and a timeless palette. In the kitchen, the warm grain of old olive wood contrasts beautifully with smooth white surfaces, giving the space both character and soul. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sculpted from polished concrete, where showers and even beds emerge seamlessly from the structure itself—minimalist yet comforting, cool to the touch, and perfect in the summer heat. Decoration is subtle but meaningful. Each piece tells a story: textiles collected in faraway markets, ceramics from Mediterranean shores, wooden objects carried back from travels. These personal treasures bring warmth and authenticity, turning the house into a living gallery of memories.
The atmosphere is never over-designed or artificial; it feels organic, as though the home has grown naturally from the landscape. La Paz is bright, quiet, and soulful—an interior that balances purity with the richness of life lived fully.
Electricity comes from solar panels. The two-hectare terrain is maintained by Fermin and his 200 goats, who graze the grass and herbs so we don’t have to use any chemicals.
As we mentioned before, our door is always open to friends and anyone who wants to connect with us. By renting La Paz, we can share this same feeling with others here in Andalusia.
La Paz doesn’t feel like a rental villa. It feels like being at home.
